Fukushima's Radioactive Ocean Plume to Reach American Shores in 2014

Fukushima's radioactive ocean plume to reach American shores in 2014
Natural News Buzz, 29 August 2013

New research shows that the radioactive ocean plume from the Fukushima nuclear power plant will reach the United States' west coast in 2014.

The study was performed by researchers from Australia's Centre of Excellence for Climate System Science and others, who published their findings in the journal, Deep-Sea Research 1. The researchers used a range of ocean simulations to track the path of the radiation from the Fukushima incident to identify where it would likely travel through the oceans over the next 10 years.

Keeping phone in pocket affects ovaries: Experts
by Karishma Goenka, dnaindia, Mumbai, 30 August 2013

Living close to mobile towers is like being in a life-size microwave, said Dr Girish Kumar, a professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, while speaking at a seminar at Nehru Science Centre, Worli on Thursday.

Experts, activists students and mediapersons had gathered to discuss and debate the link between mobile towers and cancer.

Experts with opposing viewpoints argued about effects that mobile radiation could have on people and whether regulations and norms laid down by the government need to be altered.

1973 Report Researching the Effects of Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) on Living Tissue Mentions Potential Danger to Human Health and the Need for Measures to Control the Proliferation of Devices Emitting EMF

Think about this: The following was written in a report, published in April 1973, on the work being undertaken as part of a program of research on the effects of electromagnetic fields on living tissue conducted in collaboration with the Department of Anatomy, Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

“In view of the expected proliferation of MW devices in many different applications, a substantial increase in MW background activity is feared that may endanger human health. On this basis strict control of the use of these devices must be introduced while present safety standards are revised and extensive research is conducted into long term effects of exposure to low intensity MW radiation. In particular, a study of possible accumulative effects of MW radiation (directly or indirectly) through sensitization must be conducted…”

Forty years later, there are many countries in the world and particularly, millions, if not several billions of people among the general public who believe there is no danger to human health from the microwave radiation being emitted by the wireless devices and applications that they use daily.

Swiss Government Wants to Measure Electrosmog in Homes

Government Wants to Measure Electrosmog in Homes
(20min.ch - German version - 26 August 2013) (Translation from German by Google and the Editor of this blog.)

While arguing about radiation from mobile phone antennas, no one knows how strongly we are irradiated in the office and at home. Now the federal government will look into a new measurement system.

Mobile phones, shavers, PC’s, lamps, Wi-Fi: these are continuously irradiating in the bedroom, the living room and the office. Electrosensitive persons are certain that they are getting headaches, balance and sleep disorders from this.

Although research is divided on whether these symptoms actually stem from electrosmog, it has been scientifically proven that certain radiation heats up the body and can affect the nervous system. But not even the federal government knows how much radiation exposure there actually is in Swiss homes and offices.

United States: Recognition of Electromagnetic Sensitivity as a Disability Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

Recognition of Electromagnetic Sensitivity as a Disability Under the ADA

The Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board (Access Board) is the Federal agency devoted to accessibility for people with disabilities. The Access Board is responsible for developing and maintaining accessibility guidelines to ensure that newly constructed and altered buildings and facilities covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Architectural Barriers Act are accessible to and usable by people with disabilities. In November 1999, the Access Board issued a proposed rule to revise and update its accessibility guidelines. During the public comment period on the proposed rule, the Access Board received approximately 600 comments from individuals with multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS) and electromagnetic sensitivities (EMS).

Study: Electromagnetic Fields Act Via Activation of Voltage-Gated Calcium Channels to Produce Beneficial or Adverse Effects

Electromagnetic fields act via activation of voltage-gated calcium channels to produce beneficial or adverse effects

This message comes from Martin Pall, author of the study published online 26 June 2013 in the Journal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine : The study is available here in full:

One of the great puzzles about the action of electromagnetic fields is how can they influence the biology of our bodies? The reason that this is such a great puzzle is that these fields are comprised of low energy photons, with energies too low to influence the chemistry of our bodies. So how can they possibly influence our biology? Many have argued that the only thing that they can possibly do is to heat things, and yet it is very clear that levels of exposure that produce only the slightest heating have been repeatedly shown to produce substantial biological effects. Now this puzzle has been solved in a paper with the title of this email, published on line in the Journal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, freely available on the publisher's web site:

Radiation from phones is a workplace hazard... apparently...

Yesterday, the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario voted at its annual general meeting that student cell phones should be turned off and stored during school hours, unless a teacher gives permission. The vote was part of a series of motions requesting that radiation from cell phones and WiFi be recognized as a potential workplace hazard for teachers.

Neurosurgeon Reveals Shocking Facts About the Effects of Spraying Nanosized Aluminum Compounds

Neurosurgeon Dr. Russell Blaylock:  "I pray that the pilots who are spraying this dangerous substance [nanosized aluminum compounds] fully understand that they are destroying the life and health of their families as well. This is also true of our political officials. Once the soil, plants and water sources are heavily contaminated there will be no way to reverse the damage that has been done.

"Steps need to be taken now to prevent an impending health disaster of enormous proportions if this project is not stopped immediately. Otherwise we will see an explosive increase in neurodegenerative diseases occurring in adults and the elderly in unprecedented rates as well as neurodevelopmental disorders in our children. We are already seeing a dramatic increase in these neurological disorders and it is occurring in younger people than ever before."

What Chemtrails Are Doing To Your Brain – Neurosurgeon Dr. Russell Blaylock Reveals Shocking Facts
by Russell L. Blaylock, M.D., Time to Unite, 14 July 2013

Curt Linderman speaks with Dr. Russel Blaylock about the devastating health effects of the chemtrails and geoengineering policies, which have been implemented in secret without public consent. [Interview available in original article.]

The Internet is littered with stories of “chemtrails” and geoengineering to combat “global warming” and until recently I took these stories with a grain of salt. One of the main reasons for my skepticism was that I rarely saw what they were describing in the skies. But over the past several years I have noticed a great number of these trails and I have to admit they are not like the contrails I grew up seeing in the skies. They are extensive, quite broad, are laid in a definite pattern and slowly evolve into artificial clouds. Of particular concern is that there are now so many dozens every day are littering the skies.

Germany Rejects EU Smart-Meter Recommendations on Cost Concerns

Germany Rejects EU Smart-Meter Recommendations on Cost Concerns
by Stefan Nicola, Bloomberg News, 1st August 2013

Germany said it probably won’t follow smart-meter guidance from the European Union -- which has recommended that 80 percent of homes install the devices by 2020 -- because such a move would be too costly for consumers.

The EU proposal is “inadvisable” for Germany, the Economy Ministry said in a statement, citing a study it commissioned from consultants Ernst & Young. For users with low power consumption, the installation cost would be greater than the achievable energy savings, it said.

Vicious Cycle Links Loss of Pollinators to Diminishing Grasslands

by Andrew Wetzler, Natural Resources Defense Council, 24 July 2013

Two different very different studies were released this week. But if you look at them together, they paint a potentially alarming picture for both pollinators—like bees and butterflies—and the native grasslands and prairies they depend on.

In the first study, the European Environment Agency presented the results from two decades of monitoring butterfly populations across Europe. They show that, “compared to 1990, the European populations of the 17 indicator species have declined by, on average, almost 50 percent”

The report lays the blame for this decline at the feet of intensifying agricultural activities on easy to cultivate land and the abandonment of cultivated grasslands, used for livestock grazing and growing hay, on marginal lands. Both activities end up destroying butterfly habitat, either through the creation of monocultures and the use of pesticides or the reversion of habitat to scrub and forest.

Petition "Less Electrosmog!"

Following are the initial paragraphs of a petition from 2011, addressed to Belgian politicians.  Citizens, non-members of the European Union may also sign.  More than 14,700 signatures to date.

The petition "Less electrosmog!" concerns the urgent need for the stricter application of the PRECAUTIONARY PRINCIPLE relating to the health consequences of ELECTROSMOG
and in particular of PULSED MICROWAVE RADIATION from:

Mobile phone masts (2G, 3G/UMTS, 4G)
Wireless internet/telephones/baby intercoms/...
(WiFi/WLAN, WiMax, DECT), etc.

Patrick Vanden Berghe (author of the book "Stralingsgevaar! - Vervuiling in een GSM-maatschappij") (*):
"Two kinds of waves are produced by pulsed microwave radiation: waves with a very high frequency and waves with a very low frequency. High frequency waves are the carriers of low frequency digitalised messages. High frequency radiation can be compared with a microwave oven. The radiation heats up, fortunately less strongly than in an oven. The low frequency radiation is shot into our bodies with the force of the high frequency waves. With a mobile phone this happens 217 times a second. These pulses are like the rain of bullets from a machine gun."

Study of "Screen Time" on Mood, Memory, and Cognition Wins Top NIH Addiction Science Award

First place winner of 2013 Addiction Science Award (l-r):
Judges and NIDA grantees Dr. Janet Neisewander and
Dr. M. Foster Olive, Arizona State University;  winner
Zarin Ibnat Rahman and NIDA's Carol Krause
The first prize winner, Zarin Ibnat Rahman, a junior high school student from Brookings, South Dakota, concluded that excessive screen time shapes adolescents’ sleep patterns, compromising academic success and emotional health. Rahman noted that electronic devices are tools, and like tools, they can be used to build or destroy. She hopes teens will re-think the amount of time they spend on these devices after reading about her project.
