Geneva: Hospital Acknowledges Electric Sensitivity?

Thank you, Dr. Weeks, for having posted my article on your blog.

Hospital acknowledges electric sensitivity

posted on May 27, 2016 by Bradford S. Weeks, MD

Dr. Weeks’ Comment: The Swiss doctors are conservative to suggest electrical sensitivity is a health concern for 5% of the population. Are your ears ringing? Tinnitus is one sign of WIFI sensitivity. Headaches also.

Geneva: Electrosensitive Persons at the University Hospital (HUG)

If one wants to “promote care” of handicapped persons at HUG, places free of electromagnetic (EM) waves should be created to treat electrosensitive persons (estimated to be 5% of the population). These persons, sensitive to the radiation emitted by Wi-Fi and other wireless technologies, cannot be treated at hospitals because this type of radiation saturates treatment rooms and even patient rooms. Everyone could become electrosensitive.

5G is the technology that promises to tie together the Internet of Things (IoT). So, if you're one of the millions who crave faster internet downloads, or if you require constant contact between your mobile and fridge, then 5G is the “solution” at hand.

Around the nation, state legislatures are rapidly firing bills to streamline the massive deployment of 5G wireless infrastructure, preempting local authority in favor of the telecom industry’s financial interests. But is this economic and regulatory battle the whole story?

Last week, California Governor Jerry Brown (D) took a bold step in vetoing SB 649, 5G streamlining legislation that would have granted the telecom industry a green light to place a mini cell tower approximately every hundred yards throughout the state.

“Modern communications devices have their downside,” Mr Schloter told Switzerland’s Schweiz am Sonntag in May, “The most dangerous thing is to fall into a mode of permanent activity and continuously consult one’s smartphone to see whether any new mails have come in. Everyone should switch off their mobile phone from time to time.”

Rhode Island Enacts Legislation to Regulate Geoengineering Activities

[Our comment:  We believe it is time that other states
and nations enact such legislation.  (Photo:

"There’s a growing recognition that much else is going on above us—and has been for a long time. Many people call those criss-cross vapor streaks that often mar otherwise beautiful blue skies “chemtrails,” a broad term referring to visual evidence of an apparent program involving atmospheric spraying that allegedly goes beyond creating rainfall."

Rhode Island Tackles ‘Geoengineering’
by Mark Anderson, americanfreepress.net,
27 October 2017

No longer dismissed as “conspiracy theory nonsense,” Rhode Island’s general assembly is concerned enough that geoengineering, or “intentional manipulation of the environment,” involves “hazardous activities that can harm human health and safety, the environment, and the economy . . .” that they passed a bill to regulate all geoengineering activities.

In late September, Rhode Island became the first state to enact legislation that calls on officials to examine how atmospheric-modification programs, commonly referred to as “geoengineering,” are affecting the Earth. The measure in question is the Geoengineering Act of 2017 (H. 6011), which was introduced by state Rep. Justin Price (R) earlier this year.

“The Rhode Island general assembly finds that geoengineering encompasses many technologies and methods involving hazardous activities that can harm human health and safety, the environment, and the economy of the state of Rhode Island. . .. It is therefore the intention of the Rhode Island general assembly to regulate all geoengineering activities,” the bill says.

Challenges for Physicians

mdsafetech.wordpress.com, posted October 2017

It seems impossible to many physicians that non-ionizing radiation would cause biophysical symptoms. Patient reported health concerns are often dismissed as coincidence (e.g. cell phone use and brain cancer), or psychological (e.g. someone reporting electrosensitivity symptoms near devices), or stress related (e.g. a couple that is infertile). There also seems to be endless controversy surrounding adverse health effects from wireless devices. Physicians want to help patients and not give them incorrect advice or fan their fears. After all, one cannot see, hear or feel electromagnetic radiation. People must be “a bit off” to think effects could be caused by electronic gadgets we have used for years, right? Well, as it turns out, research from credible, unbiased sources indicates clear harm from microwave radio frequency radiation we are exposed to.

Of what was believed in as the most reliable
And therefore the fittest for renunciation
T.S. Eliot- The Four Quartets, No. III: The Dry Salvages 1941

Three of the most prominent minds in modern science have joined forces to produce a document that reformulates how electromagnetism affects living organisms and the failure - through intent or ignorance or indifference - of science, governments and big business to protect all living things.

Their findings - three years in the formulation - explain how health and well-being are damaged / destroyed by artificial electromagnetic radiation and that the present standard of measuring radiation - the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) which is based on acute heating effects - is totally inappropriate when considering the effects of modern microwave-based technology in everything from microwave ovens, cell phones, wi-fi and pulsed signals such as Wi-MAX and Tetra.

In effect, the three men are saying the entire edifice of monitoring electromagnetic radiation is faulty because the monitoring system is trying to measure the wrong thing.

Can Your Favorite Wireless Devices Increase Your Risk Of Heart Disease?

Can Your Favorite Wireless Devices Increase Your Risk Of Heart Disease? Newly Published Paper By Oceania Radiofrequency Scientific Advisory Association
ehtrust.org, October 2017

Can your favorite wireless devices increase your risk of heart disease?

Scientists at ORSAA respond to a new study reporting a significant increase in heart attacks in patients without established risk factors

Dr. Priyanka Bandara and Mr. Steven Weller from Oceania Radiofrequency Scientific Advisory Association (ORSAA) have recently published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology highlighting the scientific evidence linking ‘wireless radiation’ to cardiovascular disease (CVD). This paper, titled “Cardiovascular disease: Time to identify emerging environmental risk factors”, focuses on the existing evidence for an increased risk of CVD in people exposed to wireless radiation (radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation or RF-EMR). The paper urges clinical cardiology research studies to investigate this issue further, because human exposure to this environmental pollutant has highly increased over the last three decades due to the widespread deployment of wireless communications infrastructure and the use of personal wireless devices . Cell Phone Toxins Absorbed by YOU: Comment by Prof. Olle Johansson on Dr. Marc Arazi's Latest Press Release on Phonegate

Phonegate : Important Comment of Prof. Olle Johansson
by Marc Arazi, arazi.fr, 23 October 2017

After Dr. George Carlo’s support last week, Prof. Olle Johansson, an eminent international scientist from Sweden’s Karolinska Institute, sent a letter to Dr. Brad Weeks, commenting on our latest press release: « Welcome to La La Land »: What Prof. Johansson wrote for « WeeksMD » is very important: « The most recent research, like the “Phonegate” data from France, investigating the real radiation levels at ordinary close contact between body and phone, do not indicate that current RF exposure levels are just a fraction of what national and international exposure guidelines permit, quite the opposite. They clearly show that the recorded exposure levels actually are 3 times higher than the allowed maximal ones, so the differences pointed out by me for many years may be even bigger… »

by Marc Arazi, arazi.fr, 20 October 2017

Message from Marc Arazi: "Yesterday in Paris, where he made a brief stop, I had the great pleasure of meeting Dr. George Carlo, world-renowned scientist and precursor in 1999 of the information on the health risks of mobile telephony. At the time, Dr. Carlo led an important study for industry, costing more than 20 million dollars. A courageous person and scientist of integrity, he has not hesitated to expose the dangers that his studies have shown. It is a real honor to be able to work with him on this public health issue. He gladly agreed to leave this short video message [in English] to support the international action against the health and industrial scandal of Phonegate. Many thanks, George!"

Disturbing trends in men’s reproductive health demand urgent attention

A recent meta-analysis by Levine and colleagues1 showing significant declines in sperm counts among men in the Western world caught considerable media attention.2 The Levine study followed a similar report in The BMJ 25 years ago.3 Should we be concerned? Is male reproductive health really at risk?

Meta-analyses have some inherent limitations. However, an important and often overlooked point about data on the quality of semen is that trend data should be interpreted with a holistic view of male reproductive health problems, including parallel trends in testicular germ cell cancer (TGCC). Incidence of this cancer has risen substantially over the past few decades, particularly in young men.4 Increases seem to be occurring even in countries that have had low incidence. TGCC is linked to risk of poor semen quality: reports suggest that countries with a high incidence of this cancer have generally lower semen quality and vice versa.5

Belgian senators want recognition for EHS
by Martine Vriens, published on Saturday, October 07, 2017 for Stichting EHS https://stichtingehs.nl/

On May 24, 2017, a resolution was proposed in Belgium to acknowledge EHS. A very important step because, if the resolution is approved, the government will have to indicate what they have done with the resolution and what measures have been taken to protect people – especially with EHS, but also the entire population.

Translated from Dutch by the editors of EMFSA, with permission. The link to the article: https://stichtingehs.nl/blog/141-belgische-senatoren-willen-erkenning-voor-ehs

Proposal

The proposal states that there are numerous testimonies of people with EHS who experience difficulties in every aspect of their lives. An acknowledgment would mean that these people can continue to function in society, because then reasonable adjustments can be made at the workplace and at home. It is also important to consider all consequences on health and any precautionary measures that should be taken for the entire population. It must be ensured that every citizen can choose how often he wants to expose himself to EMR.

Phonegate : Welcome to La La Land !

[Press release] Phonegate : Welcome to la la land !
ba Marc Arazi, http://arazi.fr/, 16 October 2017

As a result of lax and imprecise international standards, hundreds of millions of users of mobile phones that have been placed on the market over the past twenty years are subjected to radiation levels in contact with the body, for some phones, more than three times the threshold limit (ten times with American standards). We now have proof of this, since Dr Arazi obtained the publication on 1 June 2017 of the initial partial results conducted by the French National Frequencies Agency (ANFR) , that our health, especially of younger people, is being deliberately endangered. Despite this, ANFR continues to hide essential informations. There is total inertia on the part of the public authorities despite having been alerted in various ways. It is urgent to inform the more than six billion users, including the French population, of the risks involved and the ways to protect against these risks.

One point in common with the various scandals that have been increasing in recent years, from Médiator to the “Monsanto papers” and Dieselgate, are the many obstacles to acquiring information.

ANFR postpones indefinitely the publication of test reports

Massachusetts: Wi-Fi Hypersensitivity Case Goes Forward

Wi-Fi Hypersensitivity Case Goes Forward
by Alexis Kramer, Bloomberg BNA,
13 October 2017

It’s unclear whether someone can be allergic to Wi-Fi. But regardless of the lack of scientific consensus, a lawsuit over a child’s alleged Wi-Fi sensitivities is moving forward.

The parents of a 12-year-old child had sued a Massachusetts private school for allegedly failing to reasonably accommodate their child’s condition—electromagnetic hypersensitivity syndrome, or EHS. Because of this condition, the parents alleged, the school’s Wi-Fi system gave plaintiff G headaches and nosebleeds, among other symptoms. The parents said the school refused to provide G with a Wi-Fi-free classroom, let G listen to his classes remotely, or let him participate in athletic activities while on medical leave.

Brain Tumor Rates Are Rising in the US: The Role of Cell Phone & Cordless Phone Use

Brain Tumor Rates Are Rising in the US: The Role of Cell Phone & Cordless Phone Use
saferemr.com, 5 October 2017

For additional evidence that cellphone and cordless phone use increase
brain tumor risk and that brain tumor incidence has been increasing in the U.S.
see "Should Cellphones Have Warning Labels?" and STORYLINE vs. REST-OF-THE-STORY:

Brain cancer incidence, cellphone use, and trends data
Hardell and Carlberg (2015) reported that brain tumor rates have been increasing in Sweden based upon the Swedish National Inpatient Registry data. Hardell and Carlberg (2017) reported that brain tumors of unknown type increased from 2007-2015, especially in the age group 20-39 years of age. According to the authors, "This may be explained by higher risk for brain tumor in subjects with first use of a wireless phone before the age of 20 years taking a reasonable latency period."

What about brain tumor rates in the United States?

The incidence of glioma, the most common malignant brain tumor, has been increasing in recent years in the United States, although not across-the-board. The National Cancer Institute reported that glioma incidence in the frontal lobe increased among young adults 20-29 years of age (Inskip et al., 2010).

Canadians Beginning to Petition Government Out of Concern Over Cell Phone Radiation

Canadians Beginning to Petition Government Out of Concern Over Cell Phone Radiation
by Bill McGeelifepulsehealth.com
5 October 2017

An increasing number of Canadians are expressing concerns over being exposed to radiation from baby monitors, wireless internet routers, and cellular phones.

Of the last 16 environmental petitions filed, 7 of those were in regards to “concerned potential adverse health effects on humans from radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation from personal wireless devices”.

Some of the submitted petitions expressed concerns over how close people hold cellular devices to their bodies, while one calls for Canada to stop marketing such devices to kids under the age of 14.

Another petition focuses on possible impacts of radiation on newborn babies and the human eye. In fact, one petition asks Statistics Canada to collect data on electromagnetic hypersensitivity as part of its health survey of the Canadian community.

Asbestos Cancer Victim Gives Advice on Workplace Safety for Tech Students
mesothelioma.net

As young men and women choosing to work in the skilled trades you have bright futures ahead of you. Plumbers, electricians, carpenters, mechanics, and other skilled workers will always be in demand. My name is Virgil Anderson and I spent my career working in construction, demolition, and automotive work. What I didn’t know at the time was that I was working around asbestos.

Today I am suffering the consequences of that exposure and living with a diagnosis of mesothelioma cancer. Although the risks of being exposed to asbestos are not nearly as great as they were in my day, I want to address young people going into the kinds of trades that could include working around asbestos. I want you to have the information that I didn’t have. You can work safely in any of these trades, but you need to be aware that asbestos may be around you and that you have a right to a safe workplace and proper training for recognizing and working safely with asbestos.

Massachusetts: Worcester: Judge Throws Out Counts Against Southboro School in Wi-Fi Suit

Judge throws out counts against Southboro school in Wi-Fi suit
by Scott O’Connell, Telegram & Gazette Staff,
3 October 2017

WORCESTER – A federal judge last week threw out most of the counts in a lawsuit brought by a boy and his parents who allege a Southboro private school’s wireless internet was sickening the student.

U.S. District Judge Timothy S. Hillman did, however, allow in his decision last Friday one remaining count of retaliation to proceed, keeping the family’s case against the Fay School and its head of school, Robert Gustavson, open.

The plaintiff in the dispute, “G,” who is represented by his parents, “Mother” and “Father,” filed the suit against the school two years ago in U.S. District Court in Worcester, when he was 12 years old. The family alleged the school would not sufficiently change its Wi-Fi practices to accommodate G, who the suit claims was being made ill by the internet signal in his classrooms.

A New Era of Chronic Disease in America and What's Behind It

A New Era of Chronic Disease in America and what's behind it
Richard Lear, Brown University, researchgate.net, August 2017 - full text

Abstract

A new era of disease is fast emerging in the US. The 21st century model of chronic disease turns the old model upside down. The spotlight has long been on cancer and heart disease, which once were both growing exponentially. Now, among forty fast-growing diseases, the incidence of only three cancers and one cardio-vascular related condition are growing. In their place, four relatively new fast-growing disease groups have emerged: 1) neurological; 2) autoimmune; 3) inflammatory and 4) metabolic disease. A single molecule called peroxynitrite operates at the heart of more than forty fast-growing chronic diseases and conditions in the US. This fast-acting anion creates more than 130 biochemical disruptions in vivo. Among the most troubling is the nitration of L-tryptophan and L-tyrosine, which are precursors to critical neurotransmitters serotonin and dopamine. Peroxynitrite also damages the blood brain barrier (BBB). Such biological markers are hallmarks of neurological diseases like Alzheimer’s, autism, bi-polar disorder and depression. The endogenous culprit – peroxynitrite – is well documented. But what about the exogenous cause? There is now increasing evidence that our modern electrical environment is imposing biological stress on our bodies. Dr. Martin Pall’s voltage-gated ion theory provides evidence to support the connection. He cites two dozen studies that show microwaves from cell phones trigger the internal mechanism that creates an over-production of nitric oxide and peroxynitrite. The connection between the spectacular growth in the use of electronics and wireless technologies and the explosion of chronic disease is more than a simple correlation. Few are aware of the chronic disease epidemic that is going on right now in the US. Fewer still have heard of the peroxynitrite connection. Almost no one recognizes the crucial role that the cell phone in our pocket may be playing with our health. Yet our electrical environment has dramatically changed. And now electrical energy stands as the chief suspect driving this new era of disease in America.
