Woman Living Near Cell Tower Diagnosed With 51 Strokes

Exclusive: Woman Living Near Cell Tower Diagnosed With 51 Strokes
By Suzanne Burdick, Ph.D., childrenshealthdefense.org, 26 Feb. 2024, updated 27 Feb. 2024

In an interview with The Defender, Marcia Haller detailed how her life dramatically changed when a cell tower 900 feet from her home was “upgraded.” Haller notified the telecom companies operating the tower that she plans to sue under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

In 2007, Marcia and Jason Haller — high school sweethearts who met in Duluth, Minnesota — bought their dream property north of Duluth to peacefully live close to nature and Marcia’s family.

Little did they know then that American Towers, AT&T and T-Mobile would soon build a cell tower just 900 feet from their home — a tower that would later forever change Marcia’s life as she knew it.

Nearly immediately after the cell tower was “upgraded” in 2019, Marcia became disabled from the intense levels of radiofrequency (RF) radiation emitted by the tower.

Since then, she has suffered 51 strokes, vision loss, hearing loss, headaches, sleep disruption, chronic fatigue and cognitive impairment. She experiences ongoing issues with balance, orientation and mobility.

Barbados: US group renowned for cell tower opposition backs residents

US group renowned for cell tower opposition backs residents
by Emmanuel Joseph, barbadostoday.bb, February 24, 2024

A St James village’s battle to rid itself of a recently erected cell phone tower in its midst notched up Friday as it enlisted the support of an American campaign group that argues cell phones, wireless broadband and other high-frequency radio signals pose a health risk.

The non-profit Environmental Health Trust (EHT), based in the northern American state of Wyoming has emerged to back the people of Olive Lodge, Holders Hill, who are planning to ask the High Court to issue an injunction to block any further work and eventually have the structure removed. The tower was erected around mid-January by telecommunications firm Digicel. The community was told the tower was temporary.

In the canton of Bern, 127 municipalities where 5G mobile phone antennas are located are facing complaints from the building police. The complaints were submitted by the WIR and Gigaherz associations, which are critical of mobile communications, and Laubscher plannetzwerk GmbH from Büren an der Aare.

They have been warning about radiation exposure from mobile phone antennas for some time. They are now targeting those antennas where the transmission power has been increased without a planning application or public publication. This was announced by the three organizations on Tuesday.

Current policies in the United States and Europe regarding wireless radiation rest on an outdated assumption that the sole adverse impact to be avoided is acute heating of biological tissues.Footnote1 These policies ignore substantial evidence of chronic impacts that wireless radiofrequency radiation (RFR) can have on public health and the broader environmental consequences. In this article, we briefly review the early history of policy development on RFR, provide evidence of significant adverse nonthermal chronic impacts from exposures that are not considered in current standards, and make the case for implementing the precautionary principle to protect public health and the environment. As with most environmental health hazards, the consequences of RFR are especially important to the fetus and children, as they will incur a lifetime of exposures that is without precedent. We thus argue for the adoption of the precautionary principle to reduce chronic, societal-level risks from exposures.

DNA and Developmental Damage from Cell Towers on the Greek Island of Samos: Effects on Insects, Flowers and Vegetables

DNA and Developmental Damage from Cell Towers on the Greek Island of Samos: Effects on Insects, Flowers and Vegetables
by Diana Kordas, ED.M., M.A. February 8, 2024; hyperlinked version posted by Safe Tech International Feb. 12, 2024 by permission.

“…cells with irreparably damaged genomic DNA will result in cell senescence, cell death, cancer or mutated offspring, depending on cell type and specific biological/environmental conditions.” Panagopoulos et al., 2021 1

Introduction

A recent paper, ‘Human‑made electromagnetic fields: Ion forced‑oscillation and voltage‑gated ion channel dysfunction, oxidative stress and DNA damage (Review) published in the International Journal of Oncology by biophysicist Dimitris J. Panagopoulos et. al. states unequivocally that electromagnetic radiation from wireless technology damages DNA. This leads to infertility, sterility, mutations and extinctions, and it explains the loss of biodiversity that we are currently experiencing on this planet.

Germany: The city of Ravensburg wants to build a shelter against radiation

The city of Ravensburg wants to build a shelter against radiation
by Annette Vincenz, schwaebische.de, 27 December 2023

Some people have bad allergies, others are highly sensitive to radiation and electrosmog. How the city of Ravensburg wants to help them.

Almost everyone has it: a smartphone. But some people wonder how healthy these small devices actually are. (Photo: Zacharie Scheurer/dpa/dpa-tmn)

Ravensburg could be the first city in Germany to set up a public shelter for electro-sensitive people. This was confirmed by both the city's press spokesman Timo Hartmann and Anke Bay from the self-help group for environmentally ill people in Ravensburg. Those affected can relax in the room, which is shielded from cell phone radiation, if they have things to do in the city center. It will probably go to the city library, which is due to be renovated and modernized in the next few years.

California: LA County Residents Will Have to Battle Wireless Expansion ‘Tower by Tower,’ but Judge Rules Against County on Key Environmental Claims

A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge ruled on Wednesday that most claims will proceed in a lawsuit alleging county ordinances allow uncontrolled wireless expansion without environmental review or public input, but struck down a key argument seeking to give residents more say over cell tower build-out near their homes.

LA County Residents Will Have to Battle Wireless Expansion ‘Tower by Tower,’ but Judge Rules Against County on Key Environmental Claims

By Suzanne Burdick, Ph.D., childrenshealthdefense.org, 15 February 2024

A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge delivered a split decision Wednesday in a lawsuit seeking to halt the fast-tracked proliferation of wireless infrastructure without environmental review and without residents’ right to appeal.

In his ruling, Judge James C. Chalfant dismissed claims that the ordinances violate due process rights by preventing residents from contesting individual wireless project permits near their homes. He also dismissed a minor claim about a bureaucratic procedure.

However, he allowed pivotal allegations that the county is illegally sidestepping state environmental law through its new rules for approving wireless infrastructure projects.

Because the ruling bars a sweeping countywide due process challenge, the plaintiffs say it places an impossible burden on individuals to fund separate cases for each wireless facility installed near their properties without notice.

Experts: Current Radiofrequency Radiation Exposure Limits Based on Inadequate Science—Does 5G Introduce Heightened Health Concerns?

Experts: Current Radiofrequency Radiation Exposure Limits Based on Inadequate Science—Does 5G Introduce Heightened Health Concerns?
Staff, TrialSite News. Feb. 11, 2024

A group of scientific experts touch on a controversial and frankly, disturbing topic involving what are the generally accepted levels of what’s considered unsafe levels of radiofrequency exposure. Members of the International Commission on the Biological Effects of Electromagnetic Fields (ICBE-EMF), the authors published in 2022, “Scientific evidence invalidates health assumptions underlying the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) exposure limit determinations for radiofrequency radiations: implications for 5G.” Fifth-generation (5G) wireless technology, is the latest generation of cellular network technology designed to provide faster and more reliable wireless communication. It succeeds 4G LTE technology and offers significantly faster data speeds, lower latency, increased capacity, and support for a massive number of connected devices compared to previous generations. But with overwhelming dependence on our smartphones and various devices powered by standards such as Bluetooth—and all of this exposure to EMFs, how safe are we assuming what appears to be the shoddy evidence backing the safe exposure limits today? The present authors argue herein that those limits were established long ago, based on limited scientific rigor involving both the FCC and ICNIRP. If a group of experts in the field are correct, humanity faces the specter of myriad and potentially severe risks including the prospects of cancer and even sperm damage. Should the ICBE-EMF be correct, why would governments be concerned with Global Warming but not as well the prospect of a heightened risk for human health catastrophe powered by industry in the case of EMFs? Obviously, more research is needed but this group of scientists, highly credentialed, should be taken seriously.

Why Pregnant Women Should Take Drastic Steps to Lower EMF Exposure During Pregnancy

Why Pregnant Women Should Take Drastic Steps to Lower EMF Exposure During Pregnancy

Microwave radiation from cellphones, Wi-Fi routers and similar devices concentrate twentyfold in the womb, meaning whatever the reading is outside the womb, the measurement will be 20 times higher inside the mother, according to Dietrich Klinghardt, M.D., Ph.D.

Story at a glance:

  • According to Dietrich Klinghardt, M.D., Ph.D., women should take drastic steps to lower their electromagnetic field, or EMF exposure during pregnancy to reduce the risk of having an autistic child.
  • Microwave radiation from cellphones, Wi-Fi routers and similar devices concentrate twentyfold in the womb, meaning whatever the reading is outside the womb, the measurement will be 20 times higher inside the mother.
  • Klinghardt found the average exposure of an autistic child to high-frequency electric fields from household currents and microwaves from cellphones and other wireless technologies was twentyfold higher than that of non-autistic children.
  • Nonionizing cellphone microwave radiation has also been linked to Alzheimer’s and infertility, especially in men, both of which, like autism, are rocketing skyward in terms of prevalence.
  • One of the best strategies is to eliminate exposure to extremely low frequency, or ELF electric fields during sleep, as this is the most important time for your brain. Details on how to do this, as well as many other remediation strategies, are discussed.

5G Health Effects: 7 Case Reports of Health Symptoms After 5G Cell Towers Placed in Sweden

5G Health Effects: 7 Case Reports of Health Symptoms After 5G Cell Towers Placed in Sweden, mdsafetech.org, 20 November 2023, updated 28 January 2024

Now that the massive rollout of 5G cell towers is proceeding throughout cities worldwide, remarkably devoid of the barriers of premarket testing or health and safety studies, and propelled by industry friendly laws, research is now being published on the real-life exposures and health effects of operational 5G towers. For now, this series examines only short term neurologic effects which have been reported. Long term health effects will not be known for decades.

The first investigation of health impacts is in a series of now 7 case reports from Sweden in the last year which have been delivered to the scientific community, revealing that some residents or vacationers living near the new 5G towers developed symptoms of microwave illness soon after deployment of the 5G base station. When these affected individuals moved to a lower EMF dwelling their symptoms subsided. Most of these cases are considered classic examples of a provocation test. In all cases the exposure levels, although some of the highest levels researchers had measured in homes, were below the current ICNIRP standards purported to be “safe” and cause no health effects. These were, however, well above levels considered “safe” according to robust literature referenced in many reports including the BioInitiative Report and EUROPAEM EMF Guidelines. ICNIRP guidelines are however now being scientifically challenged and any new guidelines produced by ICNIRP , WHO, FDA, or FCC in the future would be considered inherently flawed if they are based on several current flawed assumptions, the most important of which is that they consider heat to be the only cause of harm. These 7 case reports were preceded by reports of similar neurologic health symptoms in residents and families in Geneva Switzerland when 5G towers were placed in 2019 and in diplomats in Havana, China, Austria and the U.S. from 2016-2022.

A 2000 a study commissioned by T Mobile on health effects of mobile phone radiation noted the basis for safety guidelines is thermal, but there were few studies on non thermal (biological) effects of RFR to justify the rollout of cell towers. The report states, “The study of potential health effects cannot generally compete with the speed of technical development and the roll out of the product…If there are sufficient indications that there may be damaging effects, the precautionary principle for the protection of health and the environment will apply and avoidable exposures will be avoided until such time when there is enough knowledge for a wider introduction of the technology in question. This theory draws its justification not least from the experiences with the introduction of technologies and products (such as asbestos, DDT, CFCs, formaldehyde, wood preservatives, mass X‐ray screenings etc.), which were widely used, even many years after the first clear indications of health and ecological damage had appeared.” Almost 20 years after this report was published technology has advanced even further, with increasing concern about the newer 5G (and 6G) systems with Massive MIMO and beam forming technology using significantly higher energy and power.(Tornevik). There are Pros and Cons of 5G systems but the weight of evidence currently shows more risk than benefit.

Why did NIH abruptly halt research on the harms of cell phone radiation?

Why did NIH abruptly halt research on the harms of cell phone radiation?
BY DEVRA DAVIS, OPINION CONTRIBUTOR, thehill.com, 1st February 2024

THE VIEWS EXPRESSED BY CONTRIBUTORS ARE THEIR OWN AND NOT THE VIEW OF THE HILL

In a shocking reversal, the National Toxicology Program (NTP) of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences has quietly disclosed that it will stop studying the biological or environmental impacts of cell phone radiofrequency radiation.

This decision comes despite results from the program’s carefully engineered and reviewed decade-long $30 million animal studies that found cancer, heart damage and DNA damage associated with exposure to cell phone radiofrequency radiation at levels comparable to those experienced by Americans today.

The sudden end of civilian government efforts to study potential health impacts of wireless radiation constitutes a glaring abdication of responsibility. In contrast, the U.S. Department of Defense continues to study this problem.
