"While the car is in use, a person sits on a giant battery and the vehicle emits large amounts of low frequency electric and magnetic field (EMF) radiation," the complaint alleged.

A lawsuit against a major automaker has revved its way to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, after a driver claimed his vehicle’s battery exposed him to long-term health issues, disrupted his marriage and cost him his job.

As spotted on Law.com Radar, Josef Tater of Cobb County has filed a product liability lawsuit against Nissan North America Inc.

Experts Predict More Crashes, New Risks in Era of Automated Driving Systems

Experts Predict More Crashes, New Risks in Era of Automated Driving Systems
By Keith Barry, consumerreports.org, 3 October 2018

Recent crashes could be warning sign of what’s to come as technology spreads to more affordable cars

The Tesla Model S that crashed into a fire truck in South Jordan, Utah.
The front half of the Tesla Model S sat destroyed, fully wedged under the back of a fire truck on a major highway just outside Salt Lake City.

The driver told local crash investigators she’d been using the Autopilot driver-assist system on her Tesla. It wasn’t until later they learned from the automaker that her hands were off the wheel for 80 seconds before impact.

This was the first time firefighters with the Unified Fire Authority responded to a car crash related to partially automated driving systems, according to assistant chief Mike Watson. His department has seen lots of crashes caused by distracted or impaired drivers, but this was completely new territory.

Will Driverless Cars Cause DNA Damage and Cancer?

Will Driverless Cars Cause DNA Damage and Cancer?
by John P. Thomas, Health Impact News
13 April 2018

Driverless cars are seen as the next big market potential for the automotive industry.

But before we get too excited about these driverless cars, we need to carefully consider the many levels of health risks involved with this technology, as well as the loss of privacy. Vehicle crashes and fatalities are minor concerns compared to potential human DNA damage and increased risks of cancer.

Now that the fifth generation (5G) of small microwave cell towers is being rolled out by telecom companies, their 5G press releases keep reminding us how their new technology will give us instantaneous internet downloads and will permit us to use driverless cars. [1, 2, 16]

Of course, these press releases never mention the potential health risks.

Hybrid & Electric Cars: Electromagnetic Radiation Risks

Hybrid & Electric Cars: Electromagnetic Radiation Risks
saferemr.comm 1st July 2017

Hybrid and electric cars may be cancer-causing as they emit extremely low frequency (ELF) electromagnetic radiation (EMR) or magnetic fields. Recent studies of the levels of EMR emitted by these automobiles have claimed either that they pose a cancer risk for the vehicles' occupants or they are safe.

Unfortunately, the little research conducted on this issue has been industry-funded by companies with vested interests on one side of the issue or the other which makes it difficult to know which studies are trustworthy.

Meanwhile, numerous peer-reviewed laboratory studies conducted over several decades have found biologic effects from very limited exposures to ELF EMR. These studies suggest that the EMR guidelines established by the self-appointed, International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) are inadequate to protect our health. Thus, even if EMR measurements do not exceed the ICNIRP guidelines, occupants of hybrid and electric automobiles may be at increased risk for cancer and other health problems.

Radiofrequency Pollution a Serious Safety Issue in Cars

Electric car
Alternative Energy News
We know electrosensitive persons who suffer from exposure to radiofrequency radiation in their cars. Below, are extracts from excellent information on the subject:

Cardiac Arrest
A number of studies show that electromagnetic radiation, including radiofrequency radiation, alters heart rate variability, blood pressure (including inducing hypertension with microwave exposure) and increases risk of arrhythmia related heart disease and heart attack.
