Glioblastomas: we ask 20 Minutes to correct its article

Glioblastomas: we ask 20 Minutes to correct its article
By : Phonegate Team • 28 Mar 2025

On March 15, 2025, the newspaper 20 Minutes published an article on glioblastomas in 15-39 year-olds, these particularly aggressive brain tumors. While we welcome the interest shown in this crucial public health issue, we feel that some of the information contained in the article is inaccurate or imprecise, and could mislead the public. Despite our exchanges with the editorial team and the experts quoted in the article, no corrections have been made to date. Once again, we return to the facts to set the record straight.

20 Minutes article: questionable figures and wording

In its March 15 article, 20 Minutes cites figures for the incidence of glioblastoma in France that contradict official data published by Santé Publique France (SPF). The article states that glioblastomas represent “20% of the 5900 central nervous system cancers diagnosed each year”, i.e. around 1180 cases per year. However, according to SPF‘s 2019 and 2021 reports, the number of glioblastomas was estimated at 3,481 cases in 2018, representing around 56% of central nervous system cancers.

U.S. Honeybee Deaths Reach Record High: Survey
By: Cristen Hemingway Jaynes, ecowatch.com, 25 March 2025

Honeybee deaths in the United States have surged to record highs, with commercial beekeepers reporting having lost an average of 62 percent of their colonies over the winter, according to an ongoing survey by nonprofit Project Apis m.

Data for the survey was collected from 702 respondents who are responsible for roughly 1.84 million colonies — about 68 percent of the country’s bees.

“The start of the 2025 almond pollination season was met with unprecedented colony losses which have shaken the beekeeping industry. In response, Project Apis m. conducted a widespread survey to assess the breadth and severity of colony die offs within the United States,” a press release from Project Apis m. said. “These alarming numbers could significantly impact crop pollination of essential foods and harm the profitability of the nation’s agriculture industry.”

Switzerland: 5G antenna in Murgenthal: health and environment remain disregarded

5G antenna in Murgenthal: health and environment remain disregarded

Despite 124 appeals and numerous concerns, Sunrise is holding on to the planned 5G antenna in the middle of a residential area. Alternative locations are rejected for economic reasons, while health and ecological risks are ignored. Radiation critics warn of the possible impact of increased electromagnetic stress on residents, especially children, the elderly and electro-sensitive people.

The speakers demand that social and health aspects influence decision-making. The federal constitution does not guarantee the right to unrestricted mobile radio, but certainly the protection of one's own apartment. An antenna in a densely populated area exposes unnecessary radiation to hundreds of people. Instead of technological expansion at any cost, the association pleads protection against radiation in order to put economic interests in the background for the first time and instead put the protection of the population in the focus.

Georgia Man Wins $2 Billion in Roundup Weedkiller Lawsuit, as Governor Weighs Law to Protect Chemical Makers From Liability
by Carey Gillam, childrenshealthdefense.org, March 25. 2025

A jury found that Bayer, which bought Roundup-maker Monsanto in 2018, failed to warn users of years of scientific evidence that exposure to Roundup could cause cancer. The verdict rocked Bayer investors, driving down the German company’s shares more than 8% on Monday.

A Georgia jury verdict ordering Bayer AG to pay over $2 billion to a man suffering from cancer he blamed on his use of Roundup weedkiller comes as that state’s governor weighs whether to sign into law a measure that would effectively bar such cases from going to trial in the future.

The March 24 verdict rocked Bayer investors, driving down the German company’s shares more than 8% on Monday.

The jury found that Bayer, which bought Roundup-maker Monsanto in 2018, failed to properly warn users of years of scientific evidence that exposure to Roundup could cause cancer, awarding plaintiff John Barnes $2 billion in punitive damages and $65 million in compensatory damages.

Europe: Huawei: Corruption and 5G, public health at risk

Huawei: Corruption and 5G, public health at risk
By : Phonegate Team • 26 mar 2025

Following our initial press release on the corruption scandal involving Huawei in the European Parliament, some disturbing new information has emerged. These revelations reinforce our concerns about the influence of the cell phone industry on political decisions, particularly in terms of public health and the regulation of wireless technologies.

Huawei: Implications in France

In France, a judicial investigation opened in 2024 is underway for influence trafficking, misuse of corporate assets and concealment concerning links between Huawei and former minister Jean-Louis Borloo (former chairman of Huawei France), notably concerning a donation of 50,000 euros to his foundation.

Residents of Massachusetts Town Head Back to Court in Case Alleging Verizon Cell Tower Is Making Them Sick
by Suzanne Burdick, Ph.D., childrenshealthdefense.org, March 25, 2025

A group of Massachusetts residents who alleged a Verizon tower near their homes is making them sick have appealed a county Superior Court’s ruling that they must seek relief from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), not the court system.

The residents of the “Shacktown” neighborhood of Pittsfield have been fighting for years to relocate or turn down the radiation levels of the Verizon cell tower installed in their neighborhood in March 2020.

“It’s been 1,694 days of being sick and displaced,” said plaintiff Courtney Gilardi, a mother who said her family became ill and had to move because of Verizon’s tower. “The kids just want to go home and be back in their own rooms in their own community without vomiting in their beds.”

Gilardi added:

“The injured neighbors still living in Shacktown want to live safely in their own houses without feeling dizzy, nauseous and without experiencing palpitations, afib, cardiac issues, migraines and other neurological symptoms.

The corruption affair involving Huawei in the European Parliament highlights the dubious practices of certain industrialists to influence European regulations, particularly in terms of protecting the health of users of cell phones and connected objects in the context of the development of 5G.

Regular” and ‘very discreet’ bribery practices

According to ongoing investigations, Huawei has been engaging in bribery “regularly” and “very discreetly” since 2021, under the guise of commercial lobbying. The methods employed included:

  • Remuneration for political stances
  • Inordinate gifts
  • Financial payments

Male fertility and cell phones: a new study raises the alarm

Male fertility and cell phones: a new study raises the alarm
By : Phonegate Team • 23 Mar 2025

Millions of men, especially young men, keep their cell phones in their trouser pockets for hours every day. A new study (Meta-analysis) published on March 19, 2025 in the journal “Electromagnetic Biology and Medicine” by Turkish researchers Bektas and Dasdag serves as a reminder of the potential risks of this habit on male fertility. This research, based on an analysis of 90 scientific articles, reinforces the concerns raised by Phonegate Alert.

This new study comes as the scientific community notes a considerable decline in male fertility over the last 30 years. Research shows that sperm quantity and quality have declined by around 50% since the early 1970s.
