LE PLUS. Apple unveiled its new iPhone 5 Wednesday evening during a Keynote. Yet another model, sighs the association “Amis de la Terre”, which is alarmed by the disastrous consequences for the planet of products which are everthing but lasting. 

HIGH-TECH. 13.3 million smartphones, 3.4 million tablets sold in France just in 2012! Appearing less than 5 years ago, these devices have imposed themselves on the market and into our lives. Advertised and marketed as indispensable, these electronic gadgets have an environmental impact that is inversely proportional to their size. Gold, silver, cobalt, tantalum or rare earths are necessary for their production.

Following our discussion last Friday, please find enclosed the letter requested.

By 1976, thousands of Government research documents existed highlighting the health dangers of below-thermal (Wi-Fi) microwave irradiation. In this year, the U.S Government advised Western Governments to... 'not enforce stringent exposure standards as this would become unfavourable for industrial output.'

This directive exists today. The U.S Government listed both physiological and neuropathological illnesses from low-level microwave irradiation.

Concerning the above radiation:

Children are more vulnerable than adults due to immature immune systems, soft bones, the blood-brain-barrier being under-developed, damage to ovarian follicles and their size ( they absorb more radiation).

Mobile Phones May Trigger Alzheimer's: 2003 Study by Professor Leif Salford

Already in 2003, Swedish researcher Professor Leif Salford was saying that mobile phones “may trigger Alzheimer’s”. The researchers concluded: "We cannot exclude that after some decades of often daily use, a whole generation of users may suffer negative effects maybe already in their middle age."   Article from BBC News, 5 February 2003.

Mobile phones may trigger Alzheimer's

Mobile phones damage key brain cells and could trigger the early onset of Alzheimer's disease, a study suggests.

Researchers in Sweden have found that radiation from mobile phone handsets damages areas of the brain associated with learning, memory and movement.
