Geo-engineering and Chemtrails: Suffolk County, Long Island (Update 24 May 2024)

UPDATE (24 May 2024): The experts interviewed in the last four podcasts I have listened to recently in as many days have all mentioned "geoengineering".  Shannon Joy has just interviewed Dane Wigington, lead researcher at GeoengineeringWatch.org. UPDATE (19 November 2014):  The spraying goes on. During a recent stay in Nassau County on Long Island, I saw chemtrails in the sky on several occasions.  View this video of the public hearing on Long Island, 11 December 2011 "Legislation to Ban Chemtrails gets Huge Public Support".  The video was posted on the Facebook Page:  Plea to Erin Brockovich for Legal Action against Chemtrails.  Yesterday, I viewed the Italian documentary, "Chemtrails:  The Secret War" which now has French subtitles.  I would ask advocates to explore the possibility of providing English subtitles to this excellent film.


Chemtrails is not a subject I would have thought of researching until I came across an article about a government meeting last December in Riverhead, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York, which is the county adjacent to Nassau where my parents lived for over 40 years. On 6 December 2011, the Suffolk County government held a public hearing on a proposal to ban aerial spraying of aluminum oxide, barium, sulfur, and other elements into the air over the county without first filing an Environmental Impact Statement with and receiving approval from the county’s Department of Health Services. Aerosol spraying operations for agriculture, and for Lyme disease, Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE), West Nile virus (WNV), and other disease vector control operations were to be exempted from the proposed ban.

In response to Jeff Bezos’ space flight scheduled for Tuesday, Deepak Xavier, Oxfam International's Global Head of Inequality Campaign, said:

“We’ve now reached stratospheric inequality. Billionaires burning into space, away from a world of pandemic, climate change and starvation. 11 people are likely now dying of hunger each minute while Bezos prepares for an 11-minute personal space flight. This is human folly, not human achievement.

"The ultra-rich are being propped up by unfair tax systems and pitiful labor protections. US billionaires got around $1.8 trillion richer since the beginning of the pandemic and nine new billionaires were created by Big Pharma’s monopoly on the COVID-19 vaccines. Bezos pays next to no US income tax but can spend $7.5 billion on his own aerospace adventure. Bezos' fortune has almost doubled during the COVID-19 pandemic. He could afford to pay for everyone on Earth to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and still be richer than he was when the pandemic began.

Why Stop 5G: Sharing an Awareness

On 18 September 2020, Bloomberg reported, "A group of employees of Orange SA called repeatedly for management to scrap the rollout of 5G services in memos circulated to colleagues on the Plazza social media platform. The memos, issued in October 2019 and in May of this year, said the technology will be unprofitable and will damage the environment, according to three people familiar with their content.

The text of Orange employees denouncing the excesses of this new technology: "Why stop 5G: sharing an awareness", has appeared on the site "Demain en mains". "Towards Better Health" has translated it into English. We are trying to verify the authenticity of this document, but it seems likely that it is genuine.

The document ends with these words:

"This employee initiative was born spontaneously from a person-to-person dialogue. It is not the emanation of a militant approach in the traditional sense. We, engineers, researchers, technicians, experts, believe deeply in Orange's values and it is in this capacity that we believe our Group is intellectually capable of piloting strategic orientations that are truly controversial, especially when they raise the question of the future of humanity and of all living things. 

"Let's dare, now, to stop the deployment of 5G."

What is digital is nowhere near green. The environmental costs of information and communication technology (ICT) are mostly underestimated. An important driver for a rapidly increasing power consumption is the streaming of videos.

In the climate discussion, the roles are clearly divided: on the side of the "bad guys" are heavy industry, transport and agriculture. By contrast, most service providers are among the "good guys" because their products - such as insurance or loans - are more of an intangible nature. Information and communication technology (ICT) is usually assigned to the good side in this classification. Digitization is considered part of the solution and not part of the climate problem. After all, the electronic gadgets are getting smaller and smaller. And the services used on displays somehow seem virtual - and therefore low in pollutants.

Poisoning of the planet from the sky in the name of geoengineering... Of course, this has already been taking place for a number of years and may explain the rise in respiratory and other diseases, the massive die-offs of fish, birds, bees... Has anyone asked us, the public, for permission to conduct such a deadly experiment?  

Future tests could involve seeding the sky with aluminium oxide.

Research programme will send aerosol injections into the earth’s upper atmosphere to study the risks and benefits of a future solar tech-fix for climate change

US scientists are set to send aerosol injections 20km up into the earth’s stratosphere in the world’s biggest solar geoengineering programme to date, to study the potential of a future tech-fix for global warming.

The $20m (£16m) Harvard University project will launch within weeks and aims to establish whether the technology can safely simulate the atmospheric cooling effects of a volcanic eruption, if a last ditch bid to halt climate change is one day needed.
