In her lecture in Neckartenzlingen, neurobiologist Prof. G. Teuchert-Noodt explained that brain metabolism is largely controlled by electromagnetic frequencies between 4 Hz and 30 Hz and that homeostasis in the brain is based on a sensitive interaction of these frequencies. Her institute has research results on this. It is therefore logical that external radiation, such as that generated by mobile phone radiation, has an effect on it. Dr. Keren Grafen worked at Prof. G. Teuchert-Noodt’s institute and is very familiar with the neurobiological research carried out there. Peter Hensinger interviewed her about the current state of research into the effects of mobile phone radiation (EMF) on brain metabolism.

Phonegate Alert notes with the utmost attention the publication on March 3, 2025 of a study by Santé Publique France (SPF) on the incidence of cancers in adolescents and young adults (AYA) aged 15 to 39. This report reveals a worrying increase in glioblastoma (serious brain cancer) in this age group, with a significant rise of +6.11% per year over the period studied (2000-2020). This represents an overall increase of around 233% over 20 years!


Glioblastoma: Red alert among young people

This increase is particularly alarming, as it contrasts with trends observed for other types of cancer. While the overall incidence of cancers in the AYA population has seen an increase followed by stabilization (or even a slight decrease), the continuing rise in glioblastomas stands out. With regard to central nervous system (CNS) tumours in general, the study also highlights the need to interpret the data with caution due to various potential biases, but the specific increase in glioblastomas remains a major cause for concern.

"Brain tumors (BT) are one of the most common tumor types in young people. In 2018, the estimated age-standardized annual rate for brain and central nervous system (CNS) tumors in high income areas was 2.5 per 100,000 persons below the age of 25 [1]. Incidence of BT has risen during the last decades and it is unclear whether this is due solely to improved diagnostic practices or to a real increase in disease frequency..."

"MOBI-Kids is a multinational case–control study set-up to estimate risk of BTs in relation to electromagnetic felds— mainly Extremely Low Frequency and radiofrequency (RF) felds—exposure from use of mobile communication device. Cases were patients with a first primary benign or malignant BT, diagnosed between the ages of 10 and 24 years, during a 3–4 study period between 2010–2016 (depending on country), and residing in one of the study regions of the participating countries (Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, India, Israel, Italy, New Zealand, Spain, Netherlands, Japan and Korea)."

The incidence of glioblastoma multiforme, GBM, the most aggressive type of brain tumor, though rising slowly over the last 20 years, has not jumped up in the U.S. and Canada, as it has in England and a number of other northern European countries, according to a new analysis of national brain tumor registry data.

Between 1995 and 2015, GBM rates went up 10% in the U.S. and 26% in Canada. In contrast, the increase in England over the same period was 110%.

GBM Going Up, Other Malignant Glioma Going Down

The incidence of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), the most virulent and deadly type of brain cancer, is going up in the U.K., while the incidence there of other types of malignant brain tumors are declining, according to some newly published raw data.

Take a look at the two plots below and the trends are immediately apparent.

The incidence rates are not corrected for age, or any other factors. Better screening and diagnostics, the oft-cited explanations for an observed increase in a type of cancer, seems unlikely. Any such changes would probably affect all types of brain tumors. It is possible that the trends reflect the aging of the population, but that too seems doubtful since the likelihood of developing glioma increases with age once past the mid-teenage years.



(GBM is a type of glioma, so the right-hand plot would be better titled 
“Malignant Glioma other than GBM”)

Dr. Weeks’ Comment: Cell phones are killing us. No. Correction… We are willingly killing ourselves (and our kids) with cell phones. And obfuscating cell phones companies are accomplices.

We are seduced by the convenience factor of being infinitely “in touch” and we are deaf to the lethality of holding that dangerous device up to our head. Industry has been dishonest and the precautionary principle has been ignored by public health bureaucrats asleep (or remunerated) at the wheel.

Soon, we will learn that cells phones are more lethal in America than guns. Let’s start with an understanding of brain cancer.

Brain cancer is now the leading cause of cancer deaths in children, according to a new study. Researchers say a chief reason is that new treatments for leukemia — long the No. 1 killer of kids — have knocked it from the top spot in recent years.

But some studies and experts suggest brain cancer rates in kids may be, in part, tied to the increasing use of cellphones by children and teens, and the rates of brain cancer may increase — perhaps drastically — when they become adults.

"I think that there will be a significant, if not enormous increase in primary brain tumors among young people, but perhaps not until they reach the age of late twenties or even thirties," neurosurgeon Dr. Russell Blaylock tells Newsmax Health.

Ted Kennedy, Johnnie Cochran, Robert Novak, Tug McGraw, Bobbie Murcer, Pete Rozelle, Seve Ballesteros, are among the victims of brain cancer possibly caused by cellphone use.

The list of 300+ victims has been compiled by Ellie Marks, head of the California Brain Tumor Assn., whose husband, Alan, survived a brain tumor in 2008. He had been wedded to his cellphone for 20 years in conducting a real estate business.

Their son, Zack, was interning for Senator Ted Kennedy when he was diagnosed with brain cancer, succumbing in 2009.

One person we would add to the list is Marilyn Laurie, VP-PR of AT&T, who died of brain cancer in 2010. We queried AT&T PR staff about her cellphone use but never heard back.

Cellphone alarmists have been shouting their message for nearly ten years but are making little headway with the media, legislators or the general public.

United Kingdom: How the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is Providing Relief for People with Dementia

I fell on this article by chance when looking for the 2015 Bournemouth University study on dementia.  It particularly speaks to me as a musician playing piano for persons afflicted with dementia.  Their response to the music - singing, tapping feet and hands, dancing - is wonderful to see.

From background radiation to chemicals in the food chain, environmental changes are contributing to a rapid global rise in neurological disease

My interest in neurological disease was triggered by a second friend dying of motor neurone disease (MND), which in purely statistical terms was exceptional. It is suggested there is an incidence of about one in 50,000 who are affected by MND and most die. No one knows 50,000 people, so was it a statistical fluke?

This raised the question of whether there were increases not only in MND, but in neurological disorders as a whole, including the dementias. Using World Health Organisation mortality data, which – while not perfect – is the best information available as it is collated in a standard and uniform way, myself and colleagues at the faculty of health and social sciences at Bournemouth University set out to investigate this.

Our first study, focusing on the changing pattern of neurological deaths from 1979 up to 1997, found that dementias were starting 10 years earlier – affecting more people in their 40s and 50s – and that there was a noticeable increase in neurological deaths in people up to the age of 74. In a follow-up study, taking us to 2010 and across 21 western countries, these increases were confirmed.

CHICAGO — A variety of malignant brain and central nervous system tumors kill about 15,000 people in the United States each year, often after difficult courses of surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, according to experts and data from various cancer organizations.

Officials have not disclosed the type of brain cancer that killed Vice President Biden's son Joseph Robinette "Beau" Biden III at age 46 on Saturday night. But assuming he suffered from a primary cancer — not one that spread from another part of the body — the most likely is a glioblastoma, an aggressive cancer of the brain's supportive tissue, two experts said.

Researchers in Sweden have found that radiation from mobile phone handsets damages areas of the brain associated with learning, memory and movement.
