France: According to a Study by Credoc, the French are Increasingly Concerned about the Danger of Cell Phone Waves

[Press release] According to a study by Credoc, the French are increasingly concerned about the danger of cell phone waves
Phonegate Alert Association, Equipe Phonegate 14 Sep 2021

Credoc published in July 2021 its “Digital Barometer”. This document is the report analyzing the results of questions inserted by the Authority for the Regulation of Electronic Communications, Posts and Press Distribution (ARCEP), the General Economic Council (CGE) and the National Agency for Territorial Cohesion (ANCT) in a dedicated survey, conducted among 4,000 people aged 12 and over residing in metropolitan France.

Cell phone waves “rather unsafe” for a majority of French people

As shown in the graph below, a majority of respondents are wary of the waves present in their daily lives. Here is the essence of the analysis made by the Credoc investigators:

“The four devices are therefore judged, overall, as unsafe for human health. More than half of respondents (52%) consider the magnetic fields generated by all domestic devices to be unsafe, 46% think that devices as unsafe, 46% think the same of relay antennas or mobile phones and 42% consider and 42% consider Wi-Fi networks inside the home to be a risk to human health.human health”.

Switzerland: "Thousands of Antennas Illegally Converted!"

"Thousands of antennas illegally converted!"

Legal opinion: conversion to adaptive antennas is no trivial matter
Press release: Schütz vor Strahlung, September 6, 2021 - auto-translation

Zurich, September 6, 2021 For a number of years now, mobile phone providers have been able to have minor changes to antennas approved by the cantonal specialist office using the “minority” procedure. But a new, independent report on behalf of the Conference of Building, Planning and Environment Directors (BPUK) now shows: The conversion to an adaptive antenna is not a trivial matter, but requires a proper building permit procedure. This also applies to the correction factor for adaptive antennas. This means that the ultra-fast and radiation-intensive 5G world remains just a vision for the time being.

U.S. Food and Drug Administration Confirms Health Risk of Interference between Cell Phones and Cardiac Implants

[Press Release] FDA confirms health risk of interference between cell phones and cardiac implants
Phonegate Alert Association, Equipe Phonegate 30 August 2021

In May 2021, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced it was launching an investigation into whether smartphones or connected objects in contact with the body, such as Applewatch could pose a health risk to pacemaker or heart stimulator wearers.

This investigation follows an alert launched in February 2021 by U.S. cardiologists in a study published by the Henry Ford Health System Study showing that the Apple iPhone 12 can disable the pacemaker or pacemaker when placed near the heart.

The iPhone 12 and the Apple Watch 6 in the front line but not only …

After conducting its own tests, the FDA in a statement published this August 26, 2021 has just confirmed that the risk of interference with implantable medical devices is real and warns that tested models such as the iPhone 12 or the Apple Watch 6 trigger a potentially dangerous situation for those concerned :

“Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is advising the public that some newer consumer electronic devices, such as certain cell phones and smartwatches, have high fields strength magnets capable of placing medical devices in their “magnet mode”, the agency wrote. “These magnets can affect normal operations of the medical device until the magnetic field is moved.”

ANSES alerts public authorities on the subject in 2016

However, in an opinion published as early as June 2016, entitled “Disturbance of medical devices by radio frequencies: practices to be adapted to each situation“, the National Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health Safety was already concerned about the risks associated with cell phone radio frequency waves and thus warned the public authorities:

United States Court Orders FCC to Explain Standards Meant to Protect Health of Cell Phone Users

[Press Release] U.S. court orders FCC to explain standards meant to protect health of cell phone users
Phonegate Alert Association, Equipe Phonegate 16 August 2021

In an important decision issued on Friday, August 13, 2021 by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, the judges ruled in part in favor of our U.S. partner Environmental Health Trust (EHT) and the other plaintiffs in their lawsuit initiated in 2019 against the U.S. telecom regulator, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) :

“ordered or ruled that the petitions for reconsideration be granted in part and that the matter be remanded to the Commission to provide a reasoned explanation of its determination that the guidelines are adequately protective of the adverse effects of non-cancer radio frequency radiation exposure”

The court’s reasons are even clearer, requiring the FCC to :

“(i) provide a reasoned explanation for its decision to retain its testing procedures for determining whether cell phones and other portable electronic devices comply with its guidelines, (ii) address the impacts of RF radiation on children, the health implications of long-term exposure to RF radiation, the ubiquity of wireless devices, and other technological developments that have occurred since the Commission last updated its guidelines, and (iii) address the impacts of RF radiation on the environment.”

United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit judges in favor of environmental health groups and petitioners; finds FCC violated the Administrative Procedure Act and failed to respond to comments on environmental harm.

Today, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruled in the historic case EHT et al. v. the FCC that the December 2019 decision by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to retain its 1996 safety limits for human exposure to wireless radiation was “arbitrary and capricious.”

The court held that the FCC failed to respond to “record evidence that exposure to RF radiation at levels below the Commission’s current limits may cause negative health effects unrelated to cancer.”

Further, the agency demonstrated “a complete failure to respond to comments concerning environmental harm caused by RF radiation.” The court found the FCC ignored numerous organizations, scientists and medical doctors who called on them to update limits and the court found the FCC failed to address these issues:
  • impacts of long term wireless exposure
  • impacts to children,
  • the testimony of people injured by wireless radiation,
  • impacts to wildlife and the environment
  • impacts to the developing brain and reproduction.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit court ruled the Federal Communications Commission failed to provide a reasoned explanation for its determination that its current guidelines adequately protect against harmful effects of exposure to radiofrequency radiation.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit published its decision Aug.13. The court ruled that the FCC failed to consider the non-cancer evidence regarding adverse health effects of wireless technology when it decided that its 1996 radiofrequency emission guidelines protect the public’s health.
