Barrie Trower WiFi Report - Humanity At The Brink

Barrie Trower WiFi Report - Humanity At The Brink
posted in Wifi in Schools, Written by Barrie Trower, 24 August 2013

As stated by University Researchers, Government Scientists and International Scientific Advisors; a minimum of 57.7% of schoolgirls exposed to low-level microwave radiation (Wi-fi) are at risk of suffering stillbirth, foetal abnormalities or genetically damaged children, when they give birth. Any genetic damage may pass to successive generations.

Wifi a Thalidomide in the Making Who Cares?

Professor John R Goldsmith, International / Advisor Consultant for R.F. Communication, Epidemiology and Communications Sciences Advisor to the World Health Organisation, Military and University Advisor, Researcher; wrote concerning the low level exposure of microwave irradiation (below thermal level) incident upon women:

“Of the microwave-exposed women, 47.7% had miscarriages prior to the 7th week of pregnancy....”(1)

The level of irradiation incident upon the women was stated, as from, five microwatts per centimetre squared. This level of irradiation may seem meaningless to a non-scientist; however, when I say that it is below what most schoolgirls will receive in a classroom of wi-fi transmitters, from the age of approximately five years upwards, this level becomes more meaningful.

Lloyd’s Won’t Discuss Their New EMF Exclusion Clause

Lloyd’s Won’t Discuss Their New EMF Exclusion Clause
andrewgeller.me, 25 March 2015

Last week, a couple of blogs noted that a recent commercial liability insurance renewal policy issued through a Lloyd’s of London underwriter contained a liability exclusion clause about electromagnetic fields.

The clause excludes any compensation for claims:

“directly or indirectly arising out of, resulting from or contributed to by electromagnetic fields, electromagnetic radiation, electromagnetism, radio waves or noise.”

It is important that “radio waves” are explicitly included as they, specifically the microwave zone, are what enable wireless communications devices like cell phones, wi-fi, cordless phones etc.

After the policy holder made an inquiry seeking clarification about the exclusion language, CFC Underwriting LTD in London, the UK agent for Lloyd’s, sent the following:

“The Electromagnetic Fields Exclusion (Exclusion 32) is a General Insurance Exclusion and is applied across the market as standard. The purpose of the exclusion is to exclude cover for illnesses caused by continuous long-term non-ionising radiation exposure i.e. through mobile phone usage.”

Anthropogenic Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Fields as an Emerging Threat to Wildlife Orientation

Anthropogenic radiofrequency electromagnetic fields as an emerging threat to wildlife orientation
Alfonso Balmori

- The growth of wireless telecommunication technologies causes increased electrosmog.•
- Radio frequency fields in the MHz range disrupt insect and bird orientation.•
- Radio frequency noise interferes with the primary process of magnetoreception.•
- Existing guidelines do not adequately protect wildlife.•
- Further research in this area is urgent.

The rate of scientific activity regarding the effects of anthropogenic electromagnetic radiation in the radiofrequency (RF) range on animals and plants has been small despite the fact that this topic is relevant to the fields of experimental biology, ecology and conservation due to its remarkable expansion over the past 20 years. Current evidence indicates that exposure at levels that are found in the environment (in urban areas and near base stations) may particularly alter the receptor organs to orient in the magnetic field of the earth. These results could have important implications for migratory birds and insects, especially in urban areas, but could also apply to birds and insects in natural and protected areas where there are powerful base station emitters of radiofrequencies. Therefore, more research on the effects of electromagnetic radiation in nature is needed to investigate this emerging threat.

West Virginia: Green Bank Residents Fear 'Quiet Zone' Protected from Electromagnetic Radiation Under Threat

Residents fear remote West Virginia 'quiet zone' protected from electromagnetic radiation under threat
by North America correspondent Ben Knight, staff, abcnews.com Australia, 10 March 2015

A group of people in the United States who believe that electromagnetic radiation from modern gadgets is making them sick fear their protected sanctuary may be under threat.

They call themselves 'electrosensitives' and live in the town of Green Bank in a remote part of West Virginia to avoid exposure to frequencies emitted by devices such as mobile phones and computer modems.

The area is the epicentre of the only legislated 'quiet zone' in the US and may well be the last inhabited place in the US without a mobile phone tower.

Married couple Diane and Bert Schou — both PhD scientists in industrial technology and biology — moved to Green Bank in 2002 after Diane got sick and experienced severe headaches.

Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity: A Summary by Dr. Erica Mallery-Blythe

Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity: A Summary by Dr Erica Mallery-Blythe
by Katie Singer (about the author), opednews.com, 8 March 2015

This summary is an expanded section of a larger document entitled "Electromagnetic Health for Children". The full document is designed in response to requests for information detailing current health concerns of electromagnetic fields (EMFs) with a focus on radiofrequency (RF) radiation. This is an expanded subsection covering EHS only.

We are currently witnessing the largest change to the Earth's electromagnetic environment that has ever taken place in human history.

This change has taken place in the very short period of a handful of decades and continues to escalate at an exponential rate (Appendix 1). Given that household electricity, which was the first anthropogenic (man-made) electromagnetic field (EMF), only became prolific after the turn of the century, artificial EMF has barely seen one generation from cradle to grave. The use of higher frequency microwave devices such as mobile telephony, Wi-fi and smart meters, have suddenly become commonplace despite almost no safety testing and decades of evidence of potentially lethal effects.

EU Group Links Power Lines with Childhood Leukemia

Children living close to extremely low-frequency powerlines are more
likely to develop leukemia, according to the independent EU scientific
committee on health risks.
EU group links powerlines with childhood leukaemia

While they say they do not know why, and the link has not been comprehensively proven, the Irish-based Grid Link Action Group has warned Environment Minister Alan Kelly to take note.

A report produced by the committee states that research prior to 2000 showed a two-fold increase in the risk of developing childhood leukaemia when living, long term, close to certain pylons.

“The results of current scientific research show that there are no evident adverse health effects if exposure remains below the levels recommended by the EU legislation,” the report states.

It called for studies using recently developed mouse models of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and recommended they be carried out “as a high priority”.

The group said they should be carried out during gestation — when mice are pregnant — as it is during this period when the basis for the young developing leukaemia later on could happen.

The committee reviewed all scientific literature into the effects of electromagnetic fields on health. It found there was no link to an increased rate of Alzheimer’s or certain cancers.

However, Grid Link Action Group spokesman Kieran Connors said the findings did not mean pylons and electromagnetic fields were harmless.

Green Bank, West Virginia: Inside the 'Quiet Zone', Home to Electrosensitives

Inside the 'quiet zone', home to electrosensitives
North America correspondent Ben Knight, Australian Broadcasting Corporation,
10 March 2015

The tiny US town of Green Bank, West Virginia is in the 'quiet zone' - free from wireless communications due to the sensitivity of a high powered telescope. That makes it attractive to so-called 'electrosensitives' like Diane Schou - those who say they are unable to live with the frequencies emitted by modern electrical devices.

EMMA ALBERICI, PRESENTER: If you are worried about your privacy, you could start encrypting all your messages. Or how about throwing away your smart phone, laptop altogether?

Just for a minute, imagine life without those wireless gadgets you carry everywhere: the mobile, the tablet. What do you think you'd do if you didn't have them anymore?

That's some people's idea of nirvana but not just ageing drop-outs: an unfortunate group of people who call themselves "electrosensitives". They believe that electromagnetic radiation from the modern world is making them physically ill.

On 25 February 2015, the Swiss Federal Council adopted a report detailing options to deal with the increase in mobile phone traffic.  One of  these is to raise the limit values of installations from 4-6 to 10 volts per meter.  Following is a summary of an article published in 20minutes.

Horror at higher cell phone radiation exposure limits
20min.ch, 27 February 2015

The Swiss mobile network is virtually unusable. The Federal Council concludes that there should be a relaxation of radiation protection limits,

But opponents want to prevent this.   A number of Swiss Parliamentarians are against stronger radiation.

SVP National Councillor Andrea Geissbühler says that making long calls is not good, especially for children. "Diseases and brain damage cannot be excluded."

SP National Councillor Margret Kiener Nellen says she will oppose any increase.  There are electrosensitive people, but still no studies on the long-term damage of the previous generation of mobile phones. Children are using cell phones and we know little about possible health effects.
