"Mobile Phone Users Were Knowingly Deceived": Article on the Phonegate Scandal Published by the Leading Swiss Consumer Magazine, "Beobachter"

The first article published by the mainstream Swiss media on Phonegate has appeared in "Beobachter", the leading Swiss consumer magazine with a circulation of close to 300,000.  It is about time that other countries, like the United States and Canada, publish articles in their press on this very important industrial and health scandal which affects six billion mobile phone users worldwide.

"Mobile phone users were knowingly deceived."
by Andres Büchi, Editor-in-Chief, beobachter.ch, 13 February 2'019 - (translation)

For years, mobile phone manufacturers reported values that were too low. Critics speak of a scandal.

How harmful is mobile radiation really? The manufacturers
cheated on the SAR value by measuring 25 millimeters away
from the body.
Cautious cell phone users know: When purchasing a mobile phone, you should pay attention to the SAR value. This specific absorption rate indicates in watts per kilogram the maximum exposure of the body to an electromagnetic field when using a mobile phone.

The lower the value, the less the tissue is heated by the radiation. The World Health Organization (WHO) has set limits to protect health. A mobile phone must not reach a SAR value of more than 2.0 W/kg at maximum transmitting power.

GENEVA. 5G networks are considered a new milestone in data transmission. While there is still some discussion in Germany, frustration is already on the rise in Switzerland.

Shortly after the auction, the Swiss mobile operators spread euphoria. The auction of the frequencies for the new standard 5G in the Alpine country had proceeded smoothly, the providers had paid 380 million francs to the state for the 15-year concessions. The smallest of the vendors, Salt, assured its customers it would "provide 5G coverage with next-generation speeds, latencies, and capacity as of the third quarter of this year".

Number two, Sunrise, pledged to "provide a nationwide, world-class 5G network in the future." And the industry leader Swisscom vowed to "put 5G live as soon as possible" and to make it available in 60 locations by the end of 2019. But just under a week after the auction, which was also praised in Switzerland's neighboring countries as an example, the Swiss providers row back.

The Precarious Case Against Precaution - A Deep Dive into the Swedish Cancer Registry

The Precarious Case Against Precaution
A Deep Dive into the Swedish Cancer Registry

microwavenews.com, February 20, 2019

It has been nearly eight years since an expert panel of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classified RF radiation as a possible human carcinogen. Since then, neither the World Health Organization (WHO) nor the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) has recommended precautionary policies to limit potential health risks.

No U.S. health agency has yet advised the public to reduce RF exposures.

Even after two large animal studies —by the U.S. National Toxicology Program (NTP) and Italy’s Ramazzini Institute— presented clear evidence of a cancer link last year, the WHO has remained silent; ICNIRP responded by calling both animal studies unconvincing.

Now comes the Annual Review of Public Health, which on January 11 posted a paper by five leading epidemiologists who posit that, after a systematic review of all the human studies, they don’t see an elevated cancer risk. The takeaway is that the IARC classification was a mistake.

The two senior authors of the review paper are Martin Röösli of Switzerland’s University of Basel and Maria Feychting of Sweden’s Karolinska Institute. They are both members of ICNIRP; Feychting is its vice chair. A third author, Joachim Schüz, is a senior manager at IARC. The others are Italy’s Susanna Lagorio; and the U.K.’s Minouk Schoemaker.

The Dangers of 5G to Children’s Health

Be sure to view the 3-min. video in the upper right corner of the original article.  Robert F. Kennedy Jr. sends a very strong message.

The Dangers of 5G to Children’s Health
By the Children’s Health Defense Team, 13 February 2019

Mobile and wireless technologies are a ubiquitous feature of modern life. Most U.S. adults own smartphones, a growing proportion are “smartphone-only” Internet users and over a fourth report being online “almost constantly.” As for children, a 2014 survey of high-income nations reported that almost seven in ten children used a mobile phone, and two-thirds of those had a smartphone, usually by age 10. As described by Nielsen, it is now as common to see “a kid with a smartphone in their hand” as it was to see “a kid playing with a yo-yo in the years before the digital age.”

Rare Metals: "An Electric Vehicle Generates Nearly As Much Carbon As Diesel" - Interview with Guillaume Pitron

RE-POSTED 10 FEBRUARY 2019
With so many young people demonstrating on the issue of climate change, we should remind them of the environmental impacts of extraction of the rare metals used to make electric batteries for such items as mobile phones and electric vehicles.

In his latest work, « La Guerre des métaux rares » (The War of Rare Metals), Guillaume Pitron denounces the « hidden face of the energy and digital transition ». For the journalist, wind turbines, solar panels and electric vehicles are shifting pollution to the other side of the world.

Iridium, indium, platinum, rare earths: these metals with sometimes unknown names are essential for cutting-edge industries. Without them, no electric batteries for wind turbines, mobile phones or fiber optics. The journalist Guillaume Pitron is interested in the environmental and geopolitical consequences of extraction of these rare metals. On the occasion of the publication of his book “La Guerre des métaux rares” (The War of Rare Metals), he revisits six years of investigation in a dozen countries.

What are rare metals?

A Drawing – 10 y/o Child’s Impression Of The Wireless World – Zombies & Sickness

A Drawing – 10 y/o Child’s Impression Of The Wireless World – Zombies & Sickness
wearetheevidence.org, 9 February 2019

This drawing is disturbing, but sadly it is an accurate perception of the wireless world by a 10 y/o child from Illinois. His mother developed Microwave Sickness / Electro-Sensitvity, from exposure to wireless radiation. She has been suffering disabling symptoms from exposure to wireless devices and infrastructure. Her suffering has been having a tremendous impact on him and on the family’s life. Unfortunately, he has been experiencing how societal addiction makes people, like those in his own family, reluctant to see what is so clearly in front of their eyes – the harms of wireless technology. Not only are the social implications featured in his drawing, but the devastating health effects and people’s complete disregard to the suffering of others.

U.S. Needs a Task Force to Examine Risks AR, VR, and 5G Pose to Kids

"Major research conducted by bodies such as the NIH and the American Heart Association and research published in The Lancent suggest that screen time, if not properly managed by parents, may be detrimental to a child’s physical, emotional, developmental, and cognitive health."

U.S. needs a task force to examine risks AR, VR, and 5G pose to kids

Having now worked in the mobile apps industry for several years, I’m troubled that the most popular technology trends at CES will harm the developmental health of our children. Even worse, I feel that technology companies, government, and society are likely to make the same mistakes made with mobile screen time — though at a much greater cost.

With an urgency similar to what has moved nations to ward off the worst of global warming, we too must act now to prepare our children and better understand and regulate organizations developing artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), and 5G (5th generation mobile connectivity). This is why I’m asking the United States federal government to appoint a task force consisting of consumer advocates and technology experts to recommend policy to the relevant Congressional committees and the Federal Trade Commission.

Blumenthal criticizes the FCC & FDA for inadequate answers on outstanding public health questions

Wireless carriers concede they are not aware of any independent scientific studies on safety of 5G technologies

[WASHINGTON, DC]— During today’s Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee hearing on the future of 5G wireless technology and their impact on the American people and economy, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) raised concerns with the lack of any scientific research and data on the technology’s potential health risks. The full video of Blumenthal’s statement and exchange with industry representatives can be found here.

Blumenthal blasted the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)—government agencies jointly-responsible for ensuring that cellphone technologies are safe to use—for failing to conduct any research into the safety of 5G technology, and instead, engaging in bureaucratic finger-pointing and deferring to industry.

Physicist Warns: Newly Approved 5G Tech Could "Irradiate Everyone"

Physicist warns: Newly approved 5G tech could “irradiate everyone”
12/13/2018 / By Tracey Watsonnewstarget.com, 13 December 2018

Isn’t it amazing to think that just 30 years ago we all got along just fine without the Internet or smart phones? Granted, advances in technology have provided some amazing benefits, including the widespread availability of knowledge. However, it is important to recognize that these advances have come at a price. And the speed at which technology changes and “improves” means that the price it demands is getting higher all the time.

Multiple studies have already linked cell phone radiation from second and third generation (2G and 3G) wireless technology to cancer and many other health problems. But the radiation emitted by these devices is like nothing compared to what we will all have to deal with when 5G technology is rolled out countrywide.

DEBATE. In many cities around the world, the visible smog from air pollution is overwhelming. For instance, in Thailand the Thai government has apologised to Bangkok citizens about the air pollution that continues to disrupt their daily lives and is threatening their health. No such apologies are, however, yet offered to citizens when it comes to the toxic ‘electrosmog’.

Mobile phones should be banned from classrooms and pupils need to be lectured about the dangers of device dependency, the schools minister has said.

Nick Gibb said he had concerns about the impact excessive phone use was having on children, and said the government would introduce lessons for pupils on how to limit their screen time.
