Geo-engineering and Chemtrails: Suffolk County, Long Island

UPDATE (19 November 2014):  The spraying goes on. During a recent stay in Nassau County on Long Island, I saw chemtrails in the sky on several occasions.  View this video of the public hearing on Long Island, 11 December 2011 "Legislation to Ban Chemtrails gets Huge Public Support".  The video was posted on the Facebook Page:  Plea to Erin Brockovich for Legal Action against Chemtrails.  Yesterday, I viewed the Italian documentary, "Chemtrails:  The Secret War" which now has French subtitles.  I would ask advocates to explore the possibility of providing English subtitles to this excellent film.

Chemtrails is not a subject I would have thought of researching until I came across an article about a government meeting last December in Riverhead, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York, which is the county adjacent to Nassau where my parents lived for over 40 years. On 6 December 2011, the Suffolk County government held a public hearing on a proposal to ban aerial spraying of aluminum oxide, barium, sulfur, and other elements into the air over the county without first filing an Environmental Impact Statement with and receiving approval from the county’s Department of Health Services. Aerosol spraying operations for agriculture, and for Lyme disease, Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE), West Nile virus (WNV), and other disease vector control operations were to be exempted from the proposed ban.

On 15 December 2011, the Suffolk County Health Committee rejected the proposal.
The major reason cited was that the county cannot override State, Federal and FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) regulations pertaining to air quality and aircraft emissions. At the national level, air quality falls under the jurisdiction of the Department of Environmental Conservation. The other major reasons cited were cost, manpower and the method of monitoring "releases".

The group which presented evidence of the dangers of chemtrails to the legislature, Long Island Sky Watch (LISW), urged Suffolk County residents, as well as other citizens, to have blood, water, soil and bark tested for levels of aluminum, barium and strontium in the hopes of compiling more data that proves the spraying of chemtrails is affecting both the environment and the population.  People should then share this data with their elected representatives at all levels of government in every state and county so that a larger percentage of the population becomes aware of the dangers associated with chemtrail spraying, and actions against geo-engineering can be taken in the future.
There was suspicion about spraying for vector-borne diseases.  In 2011, only 44 persons in New York State were afflicted with EEE (1) and WNV (43, of which 4 lived in Suffolk County), out of a population of 19 million.  Could these vector control spraying programs have been involved in other activities such as solar radiation or rainfall management?
Had the Suffolk County proposal become law, it would have been the first such law in the United States on chemtrails.  “Eventually, our governments would have to investigate why our trees are dying in record numbers;  why our waters contain toxic levels of aluminum, barium and strontium;  why 90% of us are vitamin D deficient;  why our crops are failing;  and where all of this crazy weather is coming from”, Long Island Sky Watch stated in a press release.

In November 2011, a group of 300 Mohave County, Arizona, residents announced their intention to pursue a class-action lawsuit, “Chemtrail Geo-Engineering Lawsuit”.   The defendants could include the Arizona State Governor, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency and President Obama.  Several dozen of these residents have tested positive for high levels of barium, aluminum, strontium and uranium.

A 98-minute documentary, made by Michael J. Murphy, “What in the World are They Spraying?” explores the issue of chemtrails.  The documentary proposes that chemtrails are part of a geo-engineering program that uses jet planes to spray a solution containing barium, aluminum, strontium and other elements into the atmosphere.  This is supposed to deflect sunlight back into space and cool the planet.  This could potentially harm humans, plants, food production and animals.  One observation made in the film is that seeds and crops are being genetically engineered to resist aluminum.  A woman stated in the film, "We are being dumbed down and made sicker and infertile.  The end of the film  is especially enlightening, when its producer goes to Washington DC to corner members of Congress, most of whom deny any knowledge of this issue.

Representative Kucinich had placed chemtrails and weaponization of the atmosphere and space on the agenda for discussion of the Space Preservation Act, but was then pressured into taking these items off.  He is one of the few persons of integrity in the United States Congress who has also raised the issues of electromagnetic radiation from wireless technology, nanoparticles and genetically modified organisms.  He recently lost the nomination for re-election in his home state of Ohio.

There is strong evidence that geo-engineering practice, meant to deal with climate change, has been occurring since the mid-1990s.  The particles being sprayed, aluminum, barium, and strontium, are not only associated with numerous health risks, but are also currently contaminating soil, trees and natural bodies of water all over the world.  This is causing trees to die off in record numbers, soil to become less arable and the surrounding ecosystems to be destroyed.

Bill Gates is backing a group of climate scientists lobbying for geo-engineering experiments.  A small, influential group of scientists and backers such as Bill Gates, may be having a “disproportionate effect” on major decisions about geo-engineering research and policy – and at the same time, be making money from this venture.

“The same small group working on high-risk technologies that will geo-engineer the planet is also trying to engineer the discussion around international rules and regulations.  These persons are lobbying for a huge injection of public funds into geo-engineering research… They have been the leading advisers to parliamentary and congressional inquiries and their views will dominate the deliberations of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change”, said Clive Hamilton, professor of public Ethics at the Australian National University.

  1. Bless you for posting this,Meris. The aerosol spraying continues on what appears to be a daily and nightly activity. Unfortunately, the majority of folks I know dismiss the topic entirely, calling it a conspiracy, which, ironically, appears to be taking place.
