Saxony: fear of radiation! Father sues against WiFi in the classroom
time.news, 23 June 2023
Dresden – Saxony has already invested 354 million euros in the “Digital Pact for Schools”, which is intended to provide WiFi and tablets at all schools in Saxony. But on Thursday, a father sued his child’s school for using wireless internet!
Eric Frank (57) demands from the city of Bad Gottleuba-Berggiesshübel (school authority) the “immediate shutdown of the WLAN at the primary school Berggiesshübel”!
He and other concerned parents think it is completely oversized that there is a WLAN access point hanging from the ceiling in each of the nine classrooms. Her concern: “We don’t want our children to be exposed to radiation! According to the technical description, up to 200 devices can be connected to each access point – but the school only has around 150 children.”
Raise awareness of environmental health issues in order to better protect our children and future generations.

Briefing at WHO RF Meeting in Geneva
microwavenews.com, June 16, 2023, last updated June 17, 2023
A Korean RF genotoxicology study —part of a joint project with Japan— has been delayed due to the unexpected death of four RF–exposed rats early in the accompanying two-year cancer experiment, according to Young Hwan Ahn of Korea’s Ajou University medical school.
Ahn presented a progress report on the Korean arm of the project in Geneva last week at a by-invitation-only meeting of the WHO EMF Project’s International Advisory Committee.
Microwave News has obtained a copy of Ahn’s PowerPoint presentation.

Meta Lowers Minimum Age of Quest Headsets in Bid to Lure Children Into VR
By Lorenz Duchamps, NTD.com, 17 June 2023
Facebook parent company Meta announced plans to enable children as young as 10 years old to enter virtual reality through its Meta Quest headset later this year, despite a recent advisory warning social media can negatively impact the mental health and well-being of children.

Tech giant Apple is calling its “mixed reality” headset, scheduled to hit the market in early 2024, “the most advanced personal electronics device ever.” But critics warned the headset will pose multiple threats, physical and emotional, to children.

But critics warned the headset will pose multiple threats, physical and emotional, to children.
The “Apple Vision Pro,” priced at $3,499, will allow the wearer to toggle between augmented reality (AR) — which projects digital imagery on the physical surroundings while allowing the user to see objects in the real world — and virtual reality (VR), which immerses the user in a virtual world and limits their vision of their physical surroundings.

Pittsfield, MA: Lawsuit Over Verizon Cell Tower Can Proceed, Judge Rules
Lawsuit Over Verizon Cell Tower Can Proceed, Judge Rules
By Suzanne Burdick, Ph.D., childrenshealthdefense.org, 14 June 2023
A group of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, residents said they feel “vindicated” after a superior court judge earlier this month ruled their lawsuit alleging a Verizon cell tower made them sick can move forward.
“We absolutely feel vindicated,” said Courtney Gilardi, a Pittsfield resident and plaintiff in the lawsuit. “We’re real people who have real injuries who have been displaced from our homes and for this to be able to move forward — it does bring us hope.”
Gilardi’s 15-year-old daughter Amelia said:
“It is such a relief to be able to move forward. It has been scary waiting. There has been a lot of waiting, a lot of wondering, a lot of suspense. We’ve been asking for so long for someone to help us. We are all just praying we can go home soon.”
The ruling is the latest development in an ongoing legal battle between the defendants — including Verizon Wireless, its affiliate Pittsfield Cellular Telephone Company and City of Pittsfield officials — and the plaintiffs, who are represented by lawyers supported by Children’s Health Defense (CHD).

How Money and Power Dominate RF Research
The Lai-Singh DNA Breaks 30 Years On
A Conversation with Henry Lai
microwavenews.com, 12 June 2023
Unremarkable science can sometimes tell a remarkable story. Two papers that were published in the last few weeks —and passed mostly unnoticed— have important, though very different, backstories.
One offers a surprising glimpse of change in the usually static field of RF research, while the other shows how much has stayed the same over the last many years. Yet, in the end, they offer the same well-worn message, always worth repeating: Those who sign the checks, run the show.
The two papers come 30 years after Henry Lai and N.P. Singh began an experiment at the University of Washington in Seattle that would set off alarm bells across the still-young cell phone industry —and the U.S. military. Lai and Singh would show that a single, two-hour exposure to low-level microwave radiation (today, we’d say RF) could lead to breaks in the helical strands of DNA in the brains of live rats.

Racehorses at Churchill Downs
RACEHORSES AT CHURCHILL DOWNS
cellphonetaskforce.org, 8 June 2023
Racehorses are among the most finely tuned, exquisitely sensitive creatures on earth. So what happens when you give them all cell phones to wear during a race? They start dropping like… well, horses.
That is exactly what started happening this spring at Churchill Downs in Louisville, home of the world-famous Kentucky Derby. Churchill Downs hosts three “meets” every year during which there are horse races four to five days a week — a spring meet lasting all of May and June; a September meet; and a fall meet throughout November. The spring meet this year at the Downs began on April 29 and was to continue until July 3. And beginning on April 29, and in every race on every day thereafter, every horse was fitted with a device they had never worn before. It is a wireless device, shaped like an iPhone, that fits into the cloth underneath the saddle on the horse’s back. Horses also began wearing these devices this spring during morning workouts.

Why airlines are still fighting 5G
Why airlines are still fighting 5G
by Ryan Clancy, electronics360.globalspec.com, 8 June 2023
As 5G networks become increasingly available for Americans, some airlines are pushing back against the rollouts from major communication companies like AT&T and Verizon. The reason? Airlines are concerned that the C-Band frequencies ranging from 3.7 GHz to 3.98 GHz used by both companies may impact their radio altimeters, which are instruments crucial to safe navigation and landing of planes.

The radio altimeter, or altitude-measuring device, is a key part of an aircraft's navigation system that helps pilots determine the distance between the plane and land below. This information is relayed to ground control systems which then help guide the plane safely during takeoff and landing. Airlines are worried that 5G frequencies will interfere with their radio altimeters, resulting in inaccurate readings that could prove dangerous for flights and passengers.

Japanese-Korean ‘NTP Lite’ on the Agenda
microwavenews.com, 5 June 2023
ICNIRP continues to dominate EMF policies at the WHO, according to documents made available to Microwave News. The International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection is a private, self-perpetuating, secretive group whose exposure limits are used around the world.
The documents were recently distributed by Emilie van Deventer, who leads the WHO’s radiation program, as she prepared to host a briefing this week in Geneva for the EMF International Advisory Committee (IAC).
The meeting, which has not been publicized, will offer fresh details on a Japanese-Korean animal study, the slimmed down version of the NTP’s $30 million rat study with “clear evidence” of cancer (the repeat has been called “NTP Lite”). The results of the joint study have been highly anticipated since last November, when the director of IARC said that she is waiting for them before scheduling a new assessment of RF cancer risks.
