Defining Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS)

Defining Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS)

Michael Bevington, Chair of Trustees at Electrosensitivity UK, examines the history of Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS) over the past 275 years, highlighting key 18th-century discoveries and early reports of health issues related to electromagnetic fields (EMFs)

Table 1. Twenty conscious EHS symptoms were listed by 1800 and again in 2023-24 from 5G

There have been various definitions of Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS) over the last 275 years. This article shows that EHS conscious symptoms in the 1700s were the same as from 5G in 2023-2024. It describes the wide spectrum of sensitivity to Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs). Finally, it lists subconscious symptoms and names for EHS.

United States: The FCC Must Prioritize Public Health Over Telecom Profits

The FCC Must Prioritize Public Health Over Telecom Profits
By The ANH Team, anh-usa.org/, 4 April 2025

For years the FCC has enabled the telecoms industry to treat us like guinea pigs—it’s time to push back. Action Alert!

Listen to the audio version of this article:
  • The FCC has been prioritizing telecom profits over public health by failing to update outdated safety standards for wireless radiation, despite growing scientific evidence linking RF exposure to serious health issues like cancer and neurological disorders.
  • The agency relies heavily on industry-funded research and self-reported data, with outdated testing protocols that don’t account for children’s vulnerability, while resisting calls for independent testing and transparency.
  • Federal actions and proposed legislation have undermined local governments’ ability to regulate 5G infrastructure. We must call for accountability, updated safety guidelines, and a moratorium on 5G expansion until independent research verifies its safety.
Imagine tucking your child into bed at night, unaware that just outside your home, a newly installed 5G tower is exposing your family to levels of wireless radiation that scientists warn could have serious health consequences. Or consider the headache that won’t go away after hours on your smartphone—could it be linked to years of exposure to electromagnetic radiation? While you do your best to protect your loved ones, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is working behind closed doors to make it easier for telecom giants to expand their networks with minimal oversight, all while ignoring growing evidence of health risks. Now, the FCC is asking for public input on regulatory reform—but will it finally prioritize public health over corporate profits, or will it continue to allow the wireless industry to dictate the rules?

20 Minutes corrects on the sly its article on glioblastoma

20 Minutes [France] corrects on the sly its article on glioblastoma
By : Phonegate Team • 2 Apr 2025

Thanks to Phonegate Alert’s intervention, an initial correction was made to the 20 Minutes article on glioblastomas. We would like to thank the Quebec journalist André Fauteux, who did not hesitate to question the press departments of Santé Publique France (SPF) and the Institut National du Cancer (INCa). However, several major problems remain in the writing of the article, requiring immediate action to re-establish the scientific truth.

INCa’s “imprecise” response

“The only inaccuracy we note in the article concerns the sentence below: “However, the disease remains ‘fairly rare’ in the general population, i.e. 20% of the nearly 5,900 cancers of the central nervous system diagnosed per year according to INCa, and even more so in young people.” This should read “However, the disease remains ‘fairly rare’ in the general population of adolescents and young adults, accounting for 20% of the nearly 5,900 central nervous system cancers diagnosed per year according to INCa”.”

Smartphone and Illness - Commentary

"Smartphone and illness"
Letter of the Day by Meris Michaels published by the Tribune de Genève 2 April 2025 - translation

It is time to consider the potential link between regularly carrying a cell phone in one's trouser pocket and the rising incidence of colorectal cancer in young adults.

A recent study conducted in Chile (De Kun Li et al) concluded that people carrying a cell phone below the waist were four times more likely to develop tumors. According to the study abstract, “young people have been shown to carry their cell phones in their trouser pockets for several hours a day, resulting in significant exposure to radiofrequency radiation in the colorectal region. Intestinal epithelial cells are among the most sensitive tissue cells to radiation exposure”.

Cell phone user manuals advise against carrying a phone on the abdomen, particularly for pregnant women, due to the risk of radiation exposure. Cell phone users, especially young adults, are advised to take precautions to limit their exposure: by using speaker mode or wired earphones, and by avoiding carrying their phone directly on their body.

"Colorectal cancer is unexplainably increasing among "young people" :
Excerpt: This is worrying because, at present, there is no explanation for this early onset. "The risk factors are probably the same as for the older population, namely a combination of non-modifiable causes – including genetics – but above all an increase in modifiable factors – tobacco, alcohol, red meat, a sedentary lifestyle, excess weight, etc. What we don't understand is what this patient was exposed to differently compared to the previous generation."

Devra Davis Presents at Real Truth About Health

EHT Founder Dr. Devra Davis will be presenting at the Real Truth About Health Conference on April 16, on cutting-edge research being carried out by Environmental Health Trust scientists as well as recent successes EHT has helped to achieve in local activism, fighting cell towers in residential areas. She will also share insights from the 2024 edition of her book Disconnect: A Scientist’s Solutions for Safer Technology. The 2024 release greatly expands on the earlier edition and includes key information about the 5G network being built out nationwide.

Dr. Davis will be joined in her talk, Latest Buzz about EMF: What the animals are trying to tell us, and what to do about it, by EHT President, Kent Chamberlin, PhD and Vice President Robert R. Brown, MD. Dr. Brown will present data from his recently published study on the impacts of cellphone radiation on human blood. All three will take questions in real time after the lecture, which is slated for 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. ET. Later in the evening, Dr. Davis will also participate in the panel discussion, “Invisible Danger: Unmasking the Health Risks of Wireless Radiation — and What You Can Do About It,” alongside other experts in the field. The panel will be from 8:15 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. ET.

The Real Truth About Health Conference, founded in 2014, is a free online conference featuring more than 80 medical doctors, naturopaths, nutritionists, dietitians, and other scientists and authors. The 17-day event includes 85 individual talks and 32 panel discussions, all followed by live Q&As.

All lectures, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions are free to attend in real time; simply select “Free Membership” when registering for the conference on the Real Truth About Health website.
