South Korea: Teens Who Are Addicted to Net, Mobile Devices, Now Get Cognitive Disorders

A 15-year-old had symptoms of early onset dementia due to intense exposure to digital technology. Since the age of five, Kim was tethered to either the television or the computer. He is an avid computer game lover.  “His brain’s ability to transfer information to long-term memory has been impaired because of his heavy exposure to digital gadgets,” said psychiatrist Kim Dae-jin at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital in southern Seoul, who diagnosed Kim and is treating him.

Teens addicted to Net, mobile devices now get cognitive disorders

Do You Have Microwave Sickness?

Over-use of smart devices could lead to irreversible brain
development issues, particularly in the growing brains of
children allowed unbridled access to this technology.
This includes attention span and memory issues and in a
small percentage of cases can trigger early onset dementia.
Wake up, wireless addicts! This article, listing 22 health effects from exposure to wireless technology: cell phones, mobile phone antennas, Wi-Fi… was written in early 2007. Today, more and more independent scientific studies are affirming these potential health effects.

“The cell phone industry makes 100's of billions of dollars in profits every year. They have the money and the power to influence politicians, the media, and even the research. Unethical researchers receive mass funding from this industry and are pressured to tell you it's safe while the researchers who inform us of its dangers have consistently had their funding cut. Over 6000 German doctors have signed "The Freiburger Appeal" after recognizing a connection between many of the symptoms listed above and exposure to microwave radiation and other EMR and after the German government has failed to act to protect its citizenry. The only way the cell phone industry gets its power is because consumers pay them their money. They have created an imaginary need or addiction. But if you heed the information above, then you will realize that you do not need this "unnecessary evil" - or rather you need it like you need a brain tumor. As a consumer you have the power to affect change. Hence, you are either part of the problem or part of the solution! You can decide. You have a choice - that is - unless you are Unconscious!” [Last part of article which follows].

“Unconscious”, yes!  Digital Dementia is declaring itself in heavy users of wireless technology.

Switzerland: Teachers Vote to Keep Wi-Fi Out of School

Blaise-Cendrars High School, La Chaux-de-Fonds
This recently published article in a La Chaux-de-Fonds newspaper (canton Neuchâtel) is revealing regarding wi-fi in schools in the canton, the opinion of a doctor and geneticist at Geneva’s university hospital, and the current recommendations of the Swiss Federal Office for Public Health.

Teachers Are Out to Get Wi-Fi
by Sylvia Freda, L’Impartial, 27 juin 2013 (translated from French by the Editor of this blog)

At the Blaise-Cendrars High School, wi-fi is not taken for granted

Teachers at the Blaise-Cendrars High School in La Chaux-de-Fonds, have all recently decided that there will be no wi-fi, neither in the cafeteria nor in classrooms as a precautionary approach to everyone’s health. “In the beginning, we had selected installation of a wireless network for the sake of educational convenience”, explains Patrick Herrmann, Director of the establishment. “We wanted to allow teachers and students to work on tablets and other computers in the cafeteria and in classrooms. The work had already begun.”

What is there to be afraid of?

It was seeing an installer working on the site that a certain number of teachers reacted and asked for the opening of a discussion on the subject of reverting to wi-fi. “There was an impassioned debate between partisans and opponents. We proposed that each side prepare arguments.” After these were distributed before the teachers’ meeting, the latter were called to vote their preference. “The adversaries of wi-fi were in the majority. Worth mentioning is that there was a large number of abstentions.”

Cell Phones and Breast Cancer - 3

Update: Cell Phone and Breast Cancer
Be Aware Foundation, 1st March 2013

In the previous article on cell phone to breast contact and the risk of developing breast cancer, I described a 21 year old girl who started placing her cell phone in her bra at age 17. She stated that the phone was in contact with her breast for an average of 12 hours a day. She also stated that she sent more than 100 text messages a day. At age 21 she noted a lump in the center of her breast directly below where she stored her cell phone in her bra. An ultrasound of the breast was suspicious. An MRI showed multiple tumors distributed in roughly the area in which her cell phone was placed in contact with her breast. She required a mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation, but is now doing very well.

Since the last article, we have identified two women ages 21 and 34 who developed multiple small breast cancers directly below where their cell phones were placed in direct contact with their breasts. We now have a total of four patients under 40 years of age with multiple breast cancers in that area where their cell phones were in contact with their breasts. None of these patients had a family history of breast cancer or any other known risk factors for developing breast cancer.

Cell Phone and Breast Cancer Update
Be Aware Foundation, 1st September 2012

Let me start this update by first noting that there is no conclusive evidence that cell phones can cause breast cancer. That being said, I would like to provide some recent information that adds to my concern regarding the possible link between placing cell phones in direct contact with the breast and the risk of developing a breast cancer.

In a previous article I reviewed the limited literature on the subject and presented two cases of young women who placed their cell phones in their bras for a number of years. Each woman developed multiple small breast cancers directly below the area where the cell phone was placed on their breast. In the past year I have learned of numerous similar cases including one male who placed his cell phone in his shirt pocket (he had no family history of breast cancer).

Do not keep a cell phone in your bra!
Cell Phones and The Risk of Breast Cancer in Young Women
Be Aware Foundation, 1st June 2011

This month “Ask the Doctor” addresses an important but largely unrecognized health issue: cell phones and the risk of breast cancer in young women. The concern is based on my own personal observations, new scientific studies on how cell phones may alter cell metabolism, and a new public warning from the chairman of the prestigious University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute (ref. 1-4).

The bottom line is that I am convinced that there is a potential risk that cell phones that are in direct contact with the breast will increase the risk for developing a future breast cancer. The chairman of the prestigious Pittsburg Cancer Institute, Dr. Ronald B. Herberman, issued a memo of warning to his entire staff about the potential cancer risks associated with cell phones in contact with the body. He also noted that younger individuals are at increased risk as compared to adults (ref. 2). In other words, the younger the age at exposure, the greater the future risk of getting breast cancer.

What has me so concerned is the fact that so many young girls are hiding their cell phones in their bras. This is typically done during class time in an effort to conceal them from their teachers. This behavior is considered to be the “cool thing to do.”

Barrie Trower's Presentation to the Irish Doctors Environmental Association on the Dangers of Microwave-Based Communications Systems (Dublin, 20 April 2013): Part 2

Following is Part 2 of Barrie Trower's presentation to the Irish Doctors Environmental Association (IDEA) at its Annual General Meeting on 20 April 2013 in Dublin about the dangers of microwave based communications systems. This part of his presentation mentions the risks of Wi-Fi to children and the disappearance of bees.
Expert tells doctors of impending tragedy from EMF radiation as health of nations laid waste by technology

Limits don’t protect children

The problem with heating standards, if they can be called standards at all - except in a microwave oven - is the vulnerability of children. Tolerance is a more appropriate term.

“Children are much more vulnerable than adults,” says Trower, “for two reasons: one, they have a higher water content in the body which means they absorb around 10 times more radiation than adults and the other is that the mitochondrial DNA suffers 10 times more stress than other bodily DNA. If you look at the child, the child is taking a 20-fold increase in danger than adults. This is also before we get onto their size. They also absorb more radiation because they are nearer the size of the wavelength and they act as aerials.”

Barrie Trower's Presentation to the Irish Doctors Environmental Association on the Danger of Microwave-Based Communications Systems (Dublin, 20 April 2013): Part 1

Barrie Trower, former Cold War spy debriefer and academic, warned members of the Irish Doctors Environmental Association (IDEA) at its Annual General Meeting on 20 April 2013 in Dublin about the dangers of microwave based communications systems. Following is the first part of his presentation. The second part, including the effects of microwaves on children, will be the next post. You will also find on this blog the 2011 interview of Danish documentary filmmaker and journalist Morten Julius with Barry Trower. Thank you to John Weigel for this text.

Expert tells doctors of impending tragedy from EMF radiation as health of nations laid waste by technology

Barrie Trower lives in a world different to the rest of us. His world is every bit as dangerous as anything Tolkien could have dreamed up and with each passing day inches closer to engulf us. Very occasionally he surfaces to warn us but returns back to his world largely ignored.

We Must Abandon Nuclear Energy, NOW ! Call from Geneva II to the Political Authorities

There are about 440 nuclear reactors operating throughout the world.
"The text “ L’APPEL DE GENÈVE II ” has been written to awaken the public to the very real dangers which nuclear energy presents. It is hoped that each recipient of the text will forward it to many others and that this will result in insights, initiatives, publications and actions to encourage our governments to take their responsibilities for the dangers of nuclear energy generation seriously." :
Paul Bonny, citizen

CALL from GENEVA II to the POLITICAL AUTHORITIES
We must abandon nuclear energy, NOW !

Only twenty-five years have elapsed between the nuclear disasters of Chernobyl and Fukushima. And yet, we were assured that such accidents were virtually impossible!

Our politicians believed this, and so did we. In reality, though it is impossible to calculate the probability of such accidents, it was estimated that an accident would only occur once every 100,000 years. The sad reality is that there have been two accidents in the last twenty-five years. Today there are about 440 active nuclear plants operating throughout the world. The next disaster could happen anywhere and at any time.

Spanish and German Students Win Prizes for Wi-Fi Experiments in 2012

Caroline Schick

Following publication of the article on the Danish school girls’ experiment with cress and Wi-Fi, readers have drawn our attention to two similar experiments undertaken by Spanish and German students of the same age group in 2012. These students also won prizes for their science projects. Here they are:

Tecnópole Classroom Students receive prize “Es de libro” in competition with more than 3,400 students across Spain
Tecnópole, 21 May 2012
Martin Alvarez and Queila Bouza
Queila Bouza and Martin Alvarez, students at Tecnópole and 4th of ESO in IES O Couto de Ourense, were winners of the event "Es de libro” with their scientific research on the influence of radiation emitted by mobile devices such as mobile or wireless routers on seed germination and plant growth. The two students, who will receive the award on Saturday from the Minister of Education, José Ignacio Wert, concluded that there is a direct influence on the germination process. Seed fertility was higher in the case of those not exposed to radiation.
